Expectations

The Cultural Competence in Computing (3C) Program solicits two (2) undergraduate students to assist with the following activities across projects:

  • Identification/organization of content (prep packets and session pre-work)
  • Communication with prospective and current 3C participants (emails, Slack channel, etc.) and data collection (e.g., form distribution, etc.).
  • Session planning and implementation (logistics, Zoom chats/Q&As, etc.)
  • Data analysis(quantitative and/or qualitative, where applicable)
  • Report generation, tool updates, and more

Requirements

Selected students are expected to meet the following requirements:

  • At least sophomore standing
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, as well as meet deadlines
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Python programming experience (3C Assessment) - especially pandas
  • Note: Students are not required to have completed COMPSCI 190/240 to apply.
