Naming of the I Am a Singer articles

Hi, it's Lakokat on the Chinese Wikipedia IRC channel. In my opinion, the name I Am a Singer (note the capitalized Am) should be the best choice for the series of articles. I think it follows English Wikipedia's naming convention the best. You may want to take a look at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization) and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Proper names for more information. Cheers, Lakokat 15:39, 5 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Although I am the one who have suggested the use of Infobox but it is not intended to be used this way if it only shows the title. I would strongly encourage you to make the article more complete by adding a lead section and completing the infobox. Cheers, Lakokat 14:52, 6 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Now I only show a title because I want "I Am a Singer" is italic text first, after I add large of informations in I Am a Singer, I Am a Singer (season 1)... then I will do this. Thx. Kty Dexter (talk) 14:56, 6 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at I Am a Singer (Chinese TV series) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Speedy deletion nomination of Tia Ray

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Tia Ray requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Tia Ray

The article Tia Ray has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Tia Ray Singer 2017.jpeg

A tag has been placed on File:Tia Ray Singer 2017.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

Template:Hunan Television I Am a Singer Contestants

Please stop the edit warring.

There are several facts at hand here:

  • the practises on Zh-wiki have no value of effect here. En-wiki is a separate wiki with its own rules, regulations and manual of style.
  • the use of correct English is required
  • details about the competition should be added to the relevant articles, not to a navigation template
  • please adhere to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Television

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Drmies (talk) 16:59, 24 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

That means this show has no judges? Each eapisode, there are 500 people are live audiences.特克斯特 (talk) 16:54, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove the maintenance templates from Wikipedia articles without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at I Am a Singer (season 3). The Banner talk 19:20, 20 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

But you also should not remove the useful information. When you add the templates, you should not remove the useful information.特克斯特 (talk) 04:08, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents

I have now filed a case against you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:特克斯特. As you can read in the filing, it has something to do with a possible Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and with a lack of proper understanding of the English language and the rules and regulation of the English language Wikipedia (Wikipedia:Competence is required).

As you continue with your campaign, you have left my no other choice than asking the community to protect the encyclopaedia against you and your editing. The Banner talk 10:57, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:I Am a Singer (season 1) Final Round.jpeg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:I Am a Singer (season 1) Final Round.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 11:06, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Singer 2018. bonadea contributions talk 14:40, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alex ShihTalk 15:44, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
If language is a problem, feel free to communicate with me in Chinese. But you need to stop with persistent addition of poorly sourced content, WP:CRYSTAL and other problematic editing behaviors, as many of them are not compatible with the standards of English Wikipedia. Alex ShihTalk 14:57, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Alex Shih:

@Alex Shih: I will have a better communication with them, but the blocks still is indefinitely period?特克斯特 (talk) 03:56, 22 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Why do you block you in a Indefinite period? I have given you the sources clearly. The sources have stated how the 500 public audiences com from.

Decline reason:

I'm sorry; possibly this is some language issue, but competence is required to edit Wikipedia. I do not think your command of English is sufficient to improve the English Wikipedia. Huon (talk) 19:57, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Note for reviewers: the first source was some kind of FAQ, and the second source was a blog post. The latest source was slightly better, but misrepresents the content. This is a rather severe case of WP:CIR, as the user is incapable of understanding the very meaning of "judge" and "audience" in both English and even in Chinese. Please see the AN/I discussion above for more context. In conclusion, I do not recommend this block to be lifted at this time. Alex ShihTalk 16:52, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • Even this unblock request shows complete incompetence. I won't deny the unblock request since I've had to deal with this editor before, but I am perfectly in agreement with Alex Shih, whom I want to thank for their actions. Drmies (talk) 17:58, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
