Morphine Love Dion, known out of drag as Michelle Orozco (born January 4, 1997),[2][3][4] is an American drag performer best known for competing on season 16 of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Career
editOn Drag Race, Morphine Love Dion was eliminated on the thirteenth episode ("Drag Race Vegas Live! Makeovers"), placing fifth overall. On the fifteenth episode ("Lip Sync LaLaPaRuza Smackdown – Reunited"), she won a series of lip-syncs against other eliminated contestants, earning $50,000. She is the first regular season contestant and second overall from the Drag Race franchise to be crowned the "Queen of She Done Already Done Had Herses", after Raja Gemini on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.[citation needed]
Personal life
editMorphine Love Dion is from Hialeah, in Florida's Miami metropolitan area.[5][6] They are nonbinary.[7] Their drag mother is Athena Dion.[8] She is of Nicaraguan descent.[9]
On July 23, 2024, an Uber seating Dion and fellow Drag Race contestant Kaos crashed into the center divider wall on the Interstate 10 freeway in Jefferson Park, Los Angeles, a second vehicle then collided with the car, killing one and injured an additional 10, including Dion and Kaos.[10] Dion's Instagram account later made a statement on their behalf stating that they "suffered multiple injuries but is grateful to be alive.", also requesting to "Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Some space and time is appreciated as she focuses on healing."[11] Later, she posted an update to her Instagram clarifying her injuries, which included a fractured collarbone, a broken jaw which required surgery to repair, and losing several of her teeth, stating that she was "still a bit sad and traumatized but extremely grateful and happy to be alive.”[12]
