Talk:Hanne Blank

Introduction

edit

Hi there. I'm Hanne Blank's partner. I reviewed the various policies on NPOV and other related concepts and am reasonably sure that I can help biograph her thoroughly without delving into the controversial. I am also here, editing this entry, with her blessing, and will do what I can to thoroughly and accurately represent her biography without causing any bias problems.

Please do edit my additions to the various applicable standards. I will not claim any kind of perfection, just good intentions. --MalcolmGin 20:51, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not all Wikiproject Biography guidelines complete.

edit

Looks like this article was not originally created with the Biography template, so the question is whether it should be recreated by hand or automatically with information pasted back in by hand, or whether this issue can slip.

Also, I don't feel comfortable submitting the article for "Did you know?" consideration considering my closeness to the subject at hand (it would feel too much like a cheap attention grabbing strategy). After that, I think what's left is possibly fleshing out the biography a bit more and requesting peer review.

Also, the situation with the image of the subject is still settling out. I'm waiting for the GDFL license to be vetted. --MalcolmGin 16:09, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Planning to add more to the Biblio/CV area

edit

I think I can ID print-only articles/stories etc. that have to do with Hanne's history/sexuality work (less so with the retired erotica/sexpert stuff) and will add them and relevant biblio information when I identify them. Look for gradual changes as time goes on.

Also, her Virgin book will hit shelves in the U.S. on 3/20/2007, so there may be more interview/expert opinion stuff to add to appearances.

Finally, she should publish her keynote address for the FORGE 2007 stuff after that happens, so there should be stuff to link there too. --MalcolmGin 14:33, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Converted format to Biography template

edit

Took it upon myself and did it.

Does the References section need to include everything in the bibliography? --MalcolmGin 17:00, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Licensing of the headshot is approved through the Wikimedia PR department

So that's resolved. Yay! --MalcolmGin 21:23, 20 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The entire article looks great. And, may I say, Hanne is quite lovely. RahadyanS 12:51, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'll pass that on to her. :) I think that without what would seem kind of obsessive levels of detail about her non-official biography the article may never get beyond "starter" or "stub" status in the eyes of Biography Project editors/administrators. I'm not comfortable supplying that level of detail (and I think it might violate WP:COI for me anyway), but don't let that stop you (or other editors). --MalcolmGin 03:36, 15 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Forgot to note this before - requested and got a peer review of the article

Why is there a notability tag on this article?

edit

Per notability guidelines, I am changing the notability tag to an Expert-Subject tag/template instead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.16.15.10 (talk) 04:58, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not wanting to get into a revert war...

edit

Looks like someone reverted a good link correction back to the currently bad link. Anyone have any idea why? --216.152.101.66 (talk) 11:41, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
