Links and requests
editLinks to other articles are needed, and also references. --Eleassar777 17:36, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
Can someone add info FTY720? I would, but I don't know the difference between FTY120 and FTY720.
FTY120 i think was a mistake, I corrected it Paughsw
Should this talk page really be in the copy edit category? Bigbadbyte July 8, 2005 15:53 (UTC)
Too elaborate
editThis article seems to be duplicating a lot of information that could be merged with other pages. The comparison between agents is made much harder this way/ JFW | T@lk 29 June 2005 12:20 (UTC)
- I'll see what I can do about the duplicates after amending the grammar as much as I can, considering my limited English knowledge. In the meantime, you can edit this article any way you wish. It was part of my pharmacology class project and has to be wikified. --Eleassar my talk 4 July 2005 23:16 (UTC)
Why on earth does this page need copyediting & attention? It's a talk page! *removes templates* Goodgerster 9 July 2005 17:53 (UTC)
- You're right about *cleanup*, but the *attention* tag {{attention}} should go to the talk page. See Wikipedia:Template messages/Maintenance. --Eleassar my talk 19:57, 25 July 2005 (UTC)
Cyclosporin(e) vs. Ciclosporin
editPlease do not change Ciclosporin to "Cyclosporine" or "Cyclosporin" on this page. The spelling with "i" is the INN. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Pharmacology/Style guide#Naming conventions. Thanks --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 08:22, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Cancer recurrence risk
editI added this to immunosuppression but it might be useful here too:
- People with previous cancer who require immunosuppression are not more likely to have a recurrence.[1]
There's currently no section discussing broad effects across classes. The risk seems higher in those on combination treatment but without statistical significance. JFW | T@lk 08:19, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

Immunosuppressant drugs for transplants
editFollowing are drugs used with transplants: Neoral-Sandimmun, Imuran, Prograft, Cellcept, Certican Add in article.
Also, there seem to be ways to lower or eliminate these:

- Hi. These are just the trade names of ciclosporin, azathioprine, tacrolimus, mycophenolic acid, and everolomus, respectively. Apart from the last (which I'll add), all are in the article already. Thanks for catching everolimus. (BTW, may I say that "add to article" isn't a good way to communicate with people. You know the magic word?) Cheers, --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 10:35, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks Anypodetos, I did some digging myself, and I'm thinking that the umpc article referred to Monoclonal_antibody_therapy to destroy the immune cells attacking the transplanted organ (called antibody producing B cells ?)
The other articles decribed the blood forming stem cells and graft facilitating cells (cyclophosphamide) coctail pioneered by Suzanne Ildstadt). She appearantly also protected the technique and formed a company called Regenerex (see http://www.regenerex.com/ )
Please add in article :) 81.240.73.229 (talk) 07:15, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
New article - Biologics for immunosuppression
editPlease see Biologics for immunosuppression.
Depending on definition, a "biologic" may or may not be a drug. In that article I define "biologics" as an immunosuppressive treatment. There is a "small article" section currently in this article. However, almost nothing here has citations, so all of this article needs to be re-worked. I think that this article, Biologics for immunosuppression, and biopharmaceutical should all be in sync somehow. I had to start somewhere so for now, I just have that new article. I am listening if anyone has ideas for how to clean content. Blue Rasberry (talk) 21:36, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
