WikiProject Francophonie?
editDoes anyone think there should be a WP:WikiProject Francophonie? It would be like WP:WikiProject Commonwealth that handles the British Commonwealth.
See Talk:Organisation_internationale_de_la_Francophonie_(OlF)#WikiProject_Francophonie? for the discussion.
Members or observers?
editFive countries seem to be listed as both members and observers (e.g., Poland, Czech Republic). Surely they are one or the other, not both? Grutness...wha? 07:08, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- I would change them in line with way countries are listed on the OIF page. I assume places like Poland and the Czech Republics aren't really in line with the criteria for joining the Francophonie anyway (French speaking or colonial links)? Mind you, that didn't seem to prevent the acceptance of Greece, Macedonia and Albania... Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits)Join WikiProject Athletics!
- What are the sources for those? There's many other non-francophonie countries as members. Surely France didn't have half of Africa as colonies? 82.141.124.102 (talk) 20:54, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
- France really did have extensive African colonies, except for the two Congos, which were Belgian colonies.207.176.253.182 (talk) 19:06, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

The Republic of Congo (Once known as Congo-Brazzaville) was a French colony, as opposed to The Democratic Republic of Congo (once known as Zaire), which was a Belgian colony. 82.3.144.140 (talk) 11:02, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
Slovenia
editIs it an observer or a member? It's on both lists.
Is there any source on participants? I can't imagine some of these areas listed being French speaking. 94.196.31.126 (talk) 19:30, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
