Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Khan are credited for 'creating' the format?? Sounds a tad ludicrous. Maybe they are known for popularizing it, but even that is iffy. Gautam Discuss 19:20, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Spelling
editThe EXACT Spelling for Jugalbandi is without the H..If you place the H after D in Jugalbandi, it would mean "Two Prisoners" Bandi means teaming up and Bandhi means Prisoner... So Correct that please. (moved from main page) --—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.106.217.79 (talk • contribs)
- ध at Devanagari shows "dh." Badagnani (talk) 21:13, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
link to sawaal-javaab
editJugal-bandi is related to and sometimes confused with sawaal-javaab, which is discussed in the "Call_and_response_(music)" article. Probably there should be a link between these. For instance Daniel Levitin's book The World in Six Songs p. 59 speaks of jugalbandi and sawaal-javaab as through they are the same thing. (Geometerworm (talk) 03:42, 27 August 2009 (UTC)).
