Updating poles
editMatt Dibenedetto started on the pole today because he finished 20th yesterday. Logawinner (talk) 23:32, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

- @Logawinner: Although he started on the pole, the infobox is not updated because he did not earn it via qualifying. If a driver gets the pole during a random draw (or the current weighted formula), through owners' points if qualifying is rained out, or a field inversion in doubleheaders, we do not update the pole parameter. That's why non-qualifying poles are denoted in the tables in italics rather than bold.
- If you go to DiBenedetto's Racing-Reference page (which has been fully updated to include today's race), you might notice it still says he has zero career poles. Zappa⚡Matic 00:11, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
