what is the thickness of the photosphere?
editThe article mentions that the Photosphere is 100 km thick but it does not include a reference. I found 2 different references from NASA with different values: 100 km thick: https://solarscience.msfc.nasa.gov/surface.shtml 400 km thick: https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/iris/multimedia/layerzoo.html
I've also found "probably several hundred kilometres thick": https://genesismission.jpl.nasa.gov/science/mod3_SunlightSolarHeat/SolarStructure/index.html
I suggest replacing the sentence to: " The Sun's photosphere is probably several hundred kilometres thick" Does anyone want to through a light? Best regards, Coel Jo (talk) 03:31, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
