Biased Editing
editAccording to the edit history, a representative of Sandy Frank has been editing the article, removing all references to the dubs made by his company that were lampooned on Mystery Science Theater 3000. These references are notable enough for the article. Wikipedia is NOT your marketing company. If it has to do with your company, it belongs here. Do not remove anything your company finds unfavorable. Thanks. VmKid (talk) 19:10, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Emmy Awards
editAt least according to IMDB, he is not the same Sandy Frank as the writer for David Letterman. Someone needs to remove him from the "Emmy Award winners" category and delete the template if this correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CE08:C8D0:FCE5:6F8D:6B86:2535 (talk) 22:43, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, the four Emmy awards seem to be for the other Sandy Frank, as documented at http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/latimes/obituary.aspx?n=sanford-jay-frank&pid=170721583
- The category here is unsourced, apparently incorrect, and should be removed.
- There are two entries for Sandy Franks at IMDb:
- This one is http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0291078/
- The one with the Emmy awards is http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1447614/

Can you really do that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.181.232.25 (talk) 20:11, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
- No, we're here to provide information from reliable sources about the subject of the article. Sometimes, this conflicts with the interests of the subject, but the readers' interests are more important here. Supernerd11 Firemind ^_^ Pokedex 23:30, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- There is no source, reliable or otherwise, cited for Frank's birth year. Accordingly, I am going to remove it. AndyTheGrump (talk) 23:41, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
Sandy Frank Entertainment
editI see that one source has been found for the said company, after the AfD was opened for this article. If there are enough reliable sources for the company, we may turn this BLP into a company article and move it to that name. --Why should I have a User Name? (talk) 17:05, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
- This is tempting, but the one problem I have with it is the article says "his first company" and lists Sandy Frank Program Sales, Sandy Frank Film Syndication, Sandy Frank Entertainment, there's also Sandy Frank Productions [1] that I should add ... and I don't know if any of these are the same company since there are all kinds of reasons why they might be totally separate companies. Which is a problem if we're trying to make an article about a specific company. Wnt (talk) 10:20, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
