Series table colouring

edit

Could whoever set up the colouring of rows on the series table please explain how it works. I can follow the reason for the different colour for the top 8 (auto-qualifiers for next year) but not the other colour used. If it's meant to highlight this year's permanent riders then why no Proteseawicz (sp). Thanks --Jsydave 22:30, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm no regular on this page, but I believe you are right. I fixed Piotr's colour, and also Tonio's number. Somebody needs to do the standigs after Målilla too... /Kriko 11:41, 13 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hans Andersen's name

edit

Stanley1986: I don't want to start an edit war, so i'll ask you here first. Why are you insisting on using Hans Andersen's middle name Niklas?

I agree it is useful for disambiguation, and could be used when needed, such as in naming the wikipedia article about him. But in the Speedway domain, there are no others with his name, so it is unnecessary and confusing, since he does not use it himself and competes under the name "Hans Andersen" His webpage is at http://www.hans-andersen.com/ and he doesn't use Niklas anywhere there.

My suggestion. Write Hans Andersen, link to Hans Niklas Andersen, just like it is done in the standings. /Kriko 11:06, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Serious mistake

edit

The sentence: 'Until 2012, when New Zealand was added to the calendar, all of the events took place in Europe.' is untrue, because on 26/10/2002 a GP round was held in Sydney, Australia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.238.83.201 (talk) 22:17, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I updated the page with the current address to the official site. I also think that the the internal link to "Current season" should be changed to the actual current season. I would if I knew howto.

Constructors

edit

What about manufacturers? Do all drivers drive the same bikes (If so which one per season)? Is there a constructor championship? Setenzatsu (talk) 10:27, 1 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Riders use their preferred combinations of frames, engines, etc., sometimes using engines from more than one company through a season. There is no constructor championship - it's purely an individual competition. --Michig (talk) 11:56, 1 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
