The car is sold in Mexico as the Teramont. Please add that. Syncro26152XL (talk) 21:58, 25 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Size classification

edit

I have added a secondary source to verify that the Atlas' market segment is midsize SUVs. Previously, there was only a primary source (from VW themselves).

I have also added in the infobox that the EPA classifies the FWD and AWD Atlases separately as a Small SUV 2WD and a Standard SUV 4WD respectively.

There is actually no "midsize" legal classification for trucks and SUVs (including most crossovers) here in the USA. They are either Small or Standard depending on their Gross vehicle weight rating.

Here is the EPA's specs on both Atlas models: https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find.do?action=sbs&id=40862&id=40856

It's hella funny that this Atlas thing is called midsize while the Cayenne is called fullsize. Especially on Wikipedia articles. LMAOOOO ROFL. 😉😉😉😂😂😂😂😂 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:6C50:4000:27D0:54CA:B1F6:BCEB:BF70 (talk) 00:39, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Atlas/Atlas Cross Sport Facelift (North America)

edit

I noticed that the page was last updated 18 days ago (as of 07/30/2023). The article does not mention the Atlas/Teramont (and Cross Sport) 2nd facelift it has received from Volkswagen in North America. It shares the same platform it has been riding on since its introduction in 2017/18. However, the new facelift acquires shift by wire allowing for more storage space and the 4th evolution of VAG's EA888 2.0L TSI engine (since they have retired the VR6 from the prior facelift model). 173.173.35.215 (talk) 01:40, 31 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
