Longtime listener
editI used to listen to WFTQ back in the early 80s. In 1980 Steve York did the afternoon drive show. In 1980 Mike Shaun did overnights before his departure to be an air traffic controller. In 1981 Dave Winsor did the noon-time show and Mike Warshaw did overnights. Dave Winsor is now mornings on 99.9 FM in Portland, Maine and Mike Warshaw is now the editor of Worcester Magazine . Their slogan was "14Q", "14 WFTQ" and "One Great Song After Another on 14Q." Roger La Plante did weather reports and listeners could hear his reports by dialing the "14Q Weather Phone." In 1981 I heard Donna Halper do an overnight program and in 1982 I heard Jeff Taylor do an overnight program. In the early 80s WFTQ was located at 34 Mechanic Street. The studio phone was 754-1400. In 1982 the station moved to 19 Norwich Street. In 1988 Steve Sanderson was a temporary fill-in DJ. In 1989 Dom Bordonaro was the Chief Engineer. I first visited the station in 1989. personel lists
editI dont see the value of these encyclopedic lists. They should be converted into prose or removed.--Rtphokie (talk) 22:50, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
