Branchporter
editI am simply amazed! - - I can sit in my living room and type stuff that can be seen all over the world within milliseconds. Quite a change from the pony express days I remember (Well, almost)
It may not come as a surprise to you that I live in Branchport, NY. The first half of my life was spent in nearby Penn Yan I am retired from the home electronics repair business. My interests include pipe organ, local history, classical music and amature web design
unimaginative
edit.....When it comes to "user names", this is the normal scenario - I am asked to come up with a user name. I think of a clever one and type it in. It comes back as unavailable, already in use. this may happen 3 or 4 times. Finally, in frustration, I type in "Branchporter" and presto, I'm in! So, I am Branchporter (sometimes with a small "B")on Wikipedia, You Tube, My Space and others! I'm glad I live in a small town. If I lived in Boston, the user name "Bostonian" probably would have been taken!

My Wikipedia:WikiProject PipeOrgan work is mainly on construction and operation topics.
I have an interest in pipe organs that started as far back as I remember. Being mechanically minded, their construction and operation has always fascinated me. At one time I considered making pipe organ repair my life's work, and probably would have if there had been a local repair person to connect with. Meanwhile, I am able to do many repairs on my church's organ.
My copy of "The Contemporary Americam Organ which I purchased new is in tatters from use - which makes me feel so old!
