My name is Dan Garry. I'm a British-Irish hybrid, born and raised Greater Manchester in the North West of England, currently living in Dublin. Between September 2013 and November 2018, I worked for or provided services to the Wikimedia Foundation. Edits, statements, or other contributions made from this account are my own, and may not reflect the views of the Foundation. I worked for the Wikimedia Foundation as a Product Manager; for more information on what my job entailed, see my old staff userpage.
I've done a few things:
Due to my many other commitments, I don't edit as much as I used to, though I frequently attend to matters behind the scenes.
If you feel that my admin actions are inappropriate or no longer necessary, feel free to undo any of them without consulting me first, except those that mention checkuser or oversight. Those that mention checkuser must not be undone without permission from me or another checkuser, no matter the circumstances. Undoing checkuser actions without permission of a checkuser is grounds for removal of your administrator rights by the Arbitration Committee.
I frequently share my IP address with Julia W, and with numerous different people when I'm at Wikimedia events. Last time I checked, they were all definitely different people from me.
Arbitration Committee
edit
During 2008, I was a member of the Arbitration Committee. I resigned at the end of 2008 due to illness preventing me from fulfulling my responsibilities. I subsequently served as the mailing list co-ordinator from January 2009 until late March 2009, a new position was which designed to help the Committee manage their incoming mail. I served until the position was superseded by a new mail handling procedure.
