A tag has been placed on Cooper's Retail Blog requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ecoleetage (talk) 09:53, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Mangalore FAC

edit

Well, I think Mangalore is ready for a FAC. This Article incorporates enough data on the city. Why not give it a try at FAC. We can work on the issues found during the review. Even if the article fails at FAC, we can renominate it later. Your participation is required at the FAC since you have been an editor of this page from a long time. The FAC is at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates#Mangalore. Hope to see you there, Kensplanet (talk) 06:42, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

I was wondering If you can prove (www.mangalorean.com) reliable?KensplanetTalkE-mailContributions 09:19, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Also can you prove (http://www.indianchristianity.com/html/Books.htm) and (http://www.kamat.com/kalranga/itihas/abbakka.htm) reliable using Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2008-06-26/Dispatches . KensplanetTalkE-mailContributions 09:43, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
If you encounter any reputed newspaper or any such site mentioning about that site, then it is considered reliable.
For example, I found (http://www.thehindu.com/thehindu/mp/2007/05/12/stories/2007051250850100.htm) mentioning about Mangalorean.Com
I think it should be reputed.

Am sorry Mr. Kudva, im dumb dint even see the picture, one of my friend gave me the image, blindly updated it. Thanks for sharing info. NAvin Shetty Brahmavar —Preceding unsigned comment added by Navin Shetty Brahmavar (talkcontribs) 15:16, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Actually 2 sites(World Gazetteer and Mangalorean.com) have been called for a review by a reviewer right at the bottom of the FAC. I was wondering if you could vote. Thanks, KensplanetTalkE-mailContributions Kensplanet (talk) 11:18, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Mangalore is again at FAC

edit

Hello Premkudva, Mangalore is again at FAC. Your valuable comments and copyedits may be very much helpful. Thanks, Kensplanet (talk) 16:49, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Can you try condensng the prose a bit more. Anyway, I have replaced the panoramic Images. That's because most of the panoramic Images show buildings. Thanks, Kensplanet (talk) 14:20, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
No, I just meant I have replaced the Panoramic image by your Panoramic Image which shows skyscrapers. I didn't mean to remove it. Kensplanet (talk) 14:11, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
We have some good news at the FAC. Mangalore has 3 supports now. If you support the article, then it'll have 4. Thankyou, Kensplanet (talk) 14:55, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Regarding your observation posted on the Indica page

edit

"I have noticed that most of the Indicas' here in Mangalore have only one reverse bulb installed in the two reverse light holders. The dealer here mentioned that it comes only with one bulb."

the 2004-2006 indica ( the one with the arch shaped brake lamps) had a reverse light in one side, and fog lamp in the other side. the fog lamp was functional only in the higher end models (DLX etc).In the Lower end models, you could insert a bulb and hook up the wiring , and both sides would work. This was because in some export markets , a fog lamp was mandatory, and since there was no room to add an additional bulb in the cluster, this was done as a workaround. 2007 and later model indicas( with a different style taillamp cluster) come with fully functional reverse bulbs on either side I hope this clarifies your doubts :)Kickassso (talk) 05:53, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

I got this info from an indian auto forum I'm a member of. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/technical-stuff/42917-rear-foglamp-indicas.html

Delinking dates

edit
Greetings - thanks for your message!
As you may know, MOSNUM previously recommended that they be linked. Given that opinion swayed from one way to the other, I am anticipating it may swing back the other way. Hence, I am not investing time to go change all the dates. Cheers, Johntex\talk 14:26, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Talk:Vehicle registration plates of India... I NEVER said, I have NEVER seen vehicles with P in the number plates. What I said was I have had SEVERAL private cars, NONE WITH A P IN THEM. Either, you need to improve your English, or I need to degrade mine..... --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:39, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Hah! No wonder that's because you are simply hilarious. Just because YOU have not seen a P in a non commercial vehicle you claim that P has never been issued to any non commercial vehicle [once again read after me IN KARNATAKA not Maharashtra as you repeatedly repeat like a dim bulb.] You are too shallow man!--PremKudvaTalk 06:45, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

What I do with my English is my problem. Neither is the way you interpret it, MR. Brainiac. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 10:23, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I interpret the way you wrote it. Mr. Brainless!--PremKudvaTalk 06:45, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Edward Luce Criticism

edit

I would like to ask what is it that you found so objectionable at healthy crticism mention of a book about india from a foreign writer clearly more knowledgable about India than Mr. Luce and if there is a problem on writing criticism of Mr. Luce on Wikipedia page which already has very less information on him and his work.....

Are you authorised editor of this page if such a thing exisits or is there a vested interest in promoting pseudo-secularist and falsified image of India..Sorry if it hurts you coz I am a real Indian.

If a writer has chosen to write the review of the book on a blog that doesnt make his views 'less credible'.Anyways I am going to wait till I find a more 'credible' source....India07 (talk) 17:30, 26 March 2009 (UTC)India07
