I believe Wikipedia should respect and encourage the earnest efforts of new contributors and as a community bias itself to the task of verifying and strengthening minor content, not eliminating it.
The measure of a reference aid such as Wikipedia is not just how deeply it covers popular subject matter, but how well it covers the breadth of history.
What I do:
- I focus my attention here on monitoring threads already selected for deletion and ensuring that all new entries get fair consideration. I feel that Wikipedia generally has a bias towards deletion, and for that reason fair discussion of the merits of any entry is paramount.
- By nature of my focus, I will have mostly discussion edit history and very little content edit history. Please keep that in mind when addressing me.
- My policy is to never submit a delete for somebody else's entry. I will only focus on commenting and voting to keep an entry if need be.
