About me

edit

I am a 25-year old professional pianist out of Chicago, Illinois. My college degrees were in music performance and philosophy, although out of a desire to branch out, I rarely contribute to these areas on Wikipedia (although I do review GA nominees from time to time on those subjects). Instead, I am generally found around the sports sections of Wikipedia (especially baseball, college football, and college basketball) as well as the film sections (my recent focus has been on the newest incarnation of the Rocky franchise).

Recent projects/creations

edit
  • Rocky Balboa (film) - Having seen the movie twice now, and really enjoying the series for a while, I have spent a good deal of time bringing the article up to GA status. My next step on it is to attempt to make it a featured article - I don't think it's too far off.
  • 2006 Michigan State vs. Northwestern football game - This was a heartbreaker of a game for me, a Northwestern Wildcats fan. However, you must take the bad with the good, and here is this article. I didn't create it, but I expanded it and cleaned it up and now just keep an eye on it.
  • 2006 in baseball - I started standardizing the MLB Regular Season/Playoff information on all the yearly baseball report pages. Currently the standardization goes back through 2000; I have sloughed off a bit on it but will eventually get back to it.

Planned projects

edit
  • Someone started a page for the 2006 Major League Baseball season. I like the idea - it cuts down on the size of the main yearly baseball reports. I'll eventually get around to making pages for each season.
  • I'm going to start reviewing more GA candidates. This is somewhat of a New Year's resolution for me - and maybe this time, I'll hold to it.
  • I'll eventually get on that administrator application, too.
  • While I'm at it, I'll quit procrastinating, too. But I'll save that one for later. :)
