Not PD
Many photos and most informtaion produced by the federal government in the US is PD, however imformation and images produced by the states is not generally in the PD, the state of Tennessee as far as I can tell does not release its data to the pudlic domain--nixie 3 July 2005 01:34 (UTC)

Your user talk page needs less Image:Cowbell2.gif
You have the image Image:Cowbell2.gif on your user talk page; this image is copyrighted and used in the Will Ferrell article under Wikipedia:Fair use. The use on your user talk page of that image is unlikely to be covered by use however, and as such is probably a Copyright violation. Could you remove the image from your user page? Thanks. --fvw* 02:09, 28 September 2005 (UTC)

Edit count
Hi: I saw your edit count and was wondering if there's an easy way to count it--other than scrolling through one's "my contributions" listing. Rlevse 15:48, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the edit link. Could you look over the article Merit badge types (BSA) and let me know what you think. It was a FAC failure, but we're almost done fixing the objections. The biggest item left is that some people didn't like the bullets. I'm having trouble deciding what to do with it. Suggestions?Rlevse 20:04, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Baseball on Wikicities
Hi Danthemankhan, Googie Man here. I'm a fellow baseball fan on Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know, in case you don't already, there's a new Wiki website founded by Jimbo and Angela called Wikicities. This link in particular will take you to the baseball Wikicity. As you'll see it's similar to Wikipedia, but my hope is this will allow baseball fans to do more and different things, like reporting on games, in depth statistics, create mulitple pages for pictures, and whatever else baseball fans care to create. You've done such great work on Wikipedia I was hoping you could help me get this baseball Wikicity off the ground. Plesase let me know what you think either on my talk page or my email at terry@wikia.com. Thanks! Googie Man(Talk), 21:00, 2 January 2006.
Scouting article improvement
User:Gadget850 has started User talk:Gadget850/BSA article improvements as a step toward improving the BSA section of Wikipedia. Please visit this page and participate if you are interested or cross yourself out of the "Interested Wikipedians" if you are not interested. Thank you. Rlevse 18:18, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
Please adopt your state
I have now completed the transition from state list to articles on Scouting in each state, as per Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting/RulesStandards, for merger and improvement of articles. Please help fill in some blanks at Scouting in Tennessee! Thanks, YiS, Chris 09:13, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

Category war
Please consider going to Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion#Category:Boy_Scouts_of_America_controversy_and_Category:Boy_Scouts_of_America_controversies_to_.28he_didn.27t_say_what.29 and voting on this (we want delete) and the "Contentious issues" listing right below it (we want keep). There are constant edit wars on the "Controversies about..." article, so I don't really worry about it, but I would like to keep the contentious issues grouped together in the project as they relate to Scouting. Rlevse 11:56, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi! It's really great to see you've adopted The Beatles' Christmas Album article. The most obvious need is an infobox (with the album cover image) and images of each flexidisc which made up the album. Fortunately the link you provided offers such bounties :-) --kingboyk 05:37, 8 March 2006 (UTC) (PS I don't have your page on watch, but I've added The Beatles' Christmas Album to my list and I of course watch the WikiProject)
- Thanks again for your work on that article. You've done a great job and it looks splendid! :) --kingboyk 18:06, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Issues with The Andy Griffith Show
Hi. I just wanted to make you aware of a complicated issue that involves an article you created. Please see this link for details and discussion. In summary, your TAGS episodes article is very well done and structured nicely but concensus is that it is redundant of the "official" TAGS episodes article which needs to be renamed properly with the word "The", thereby forcing the moving, renaming, or deletetion of the article you created. Fife Club 04:48, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Scouting article work
If you are getting this, it is because you do or did work on Scouting articles (see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Scouting#Participants_and_primary_areas_of_interest).
As the Scouting WikiProject has been formed since early January 2006, we've had many great improvements made in this area of Wiki and I want to personally thank everyone for their help. We don't always agree on things, but we keep moving forward. YIS, Rlevse 22:09, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter Issue 1 - May 2006
|
Welcome to the inaugural issue of The Beatles WikiProject's newsletter! We hope that this newsletter will help members—especially those who may be unable to keep up with some of the rapid developments that tend to occur—find new things to do within the project that they may wish to participate in. Please consider this inital issue to be a prototype; as always, any comments and suggestions are quite welcome. We would like to emphasise that this is a collaborative Project and all editors are equal - so next month the newsletter editor might be you! kingboyk, LessHeard vanU and Lar
The Project has got off to a great start but we really need your help to keep it going. Here's a few things you can do:
Complete Todo List:
As the project is currently just starting, our more experienced editors are working on the project infrastructure, classifying articles, and listing/assessing red links. Your assistance is welcome. If you would prefer to just edit - and why wouldn't you? - we have a choice selection of red links to turn blue and articles to clean! Now let's get busy.
If you complete one of these tasks, please remove it from the list and add your achievement to the project log. |

The matter of the article History of the Beatles and the History section of the main article The Beatles continues to concern various editors, including DavidWBrooks and Vera, Chuck & Dave. Suggestions, comments, or help with the task would be much appreciated.
The Beatles have been in the real world news recently, but work on The Beatles Project continues as before. This newsletter keeps you up-to-date with what has been happening with the project and, perhaps more importantly, what needs to be done (see the "Issue of the Month" above and the "To Do List" below-left). If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy! Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 003 – July 2006). All and any contributions are welcome. Just let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or start editing!

Preparing articles for inclusion in Wikipedia 1.0.
It was a bit of a struggle to get this month's newsletter done, as we did it without a lead editor. Hopefully, next month you'll jump in and be our lead editor. Big news is that WP:1.0 is coming along nicely and our article classification system has changed to conform to it. If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy! Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 004 – August 2006). Any and all contributions are welcome. Welcome to WikiProject College football
Hi, and welcome to the College football Wikiproject! We are a group of editors who love college football and work to improve Wikipedia's coverage of this sport.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Please add {{WikiProject College football}} to the talk page and list your new article in the new articles section.
- Looking for somewhere to help? Please see our article to do list or project to do list
If you have any ideas you would like to share or if there is any way your fellow college football fans can help you, please feel free to ask on the project talk page.
McCartney tour articles
You were going good on the more obscure McCartney tour articles, any plans to do 1976 Wings Over America, the 1989 World Tour, and so on from there? Wasted Time R 03:09, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

As mentioned in the Project News section, The Beatles article has just been listed for a review of its Featured Article status. Working on this is quite important. The lead article of the Project recently lost its FA status, and now some of the other articles are being reviewed. Citations and references within articles are again the major concern. Contributors who have literature (books, magazines, links, etc.) are especially needed to provide the necessary citations. It is not enough for editors to know the facts; they need to be backed up by other sources. All help, both within the articles and the discussion, would be appreciated.
