Speedy deletion nomination of Imp group
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Imp group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Helpsome (talk) 17:01, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
The article Imp group has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:06, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

Your Work, Saved. IMP Group - Add references
editThe Industrial Marketing and Purchasing Group (IMP Group) is an informal international association of scholars whose primary aim is to develop new concepts and scientific knowledge in the field of business-to-business (B2B) marketing and purchasing.
Scholars of IMP Group collaborate to study marketing, purchasing, technological development and management (both B2C and B2B), as well as business community, policy, and science-technology-business issues. All the findings are published on the official website in the form of books, papers and dissertations, all of which are free to download.
IMP group can be seen as:
A tradition of researching how companies do business and what happens in case they interact. Since the first empirical research was carried out, the members of IMP group have been challenging the existing business and marketing theory, a wide range of issues concerning business, marketing and interactions of firms, technological development and logistics has been investigated. A dynamic approach to economic exchange. A set of tools has been introduced to approach business exchange as a dynamic system by IMP Group. The original tools have been developed to make the models more significant and representative. The examples of the models are ARA (Developing Relationships in Business Networks, Håkansson & Snehota, eds, 1995) and 4R (Managing Technological Development, Håkansson & Waluszewski, 2002) A network of researchers. IMP Group is a society of scholars, and annual meetings called IMP Conferences are an important part of their interaction. Today the Doctorial Consortiums and IMP Journal Seminars are held annually. History[edit] The IMP Group was founded in 1976, as a research project group on “Industrial Marketing and Purchasing”, by a group of researchers representing five European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and the United Kingdom) and universities; the Universities of Uppsala, Bath, UMIST, ESC Lyon and the Ludwig Maximilians University (Munich).
The major reason for founding the IMP Group was that the participants of the first research project ‘were dissatisfied with the dominant marketing paradigm of the time, which focused on consumer goods and adopted a stimulus response, arm-length approach to the customer with the seller as the active party.’ The initial aim of the first study program was to gain a theory-based empirically deeper insight into buyer-seller relationships as well as to differentiate those insights according to variant markets.
1976 – formation of the IMP Group
1982 – first IMP Group common result published (Interaction model, “Industrial Marketing and Purchasing of Goods”, Håkansson, ed.)
1984 – first IMP Conference held (Manchester, several dozen participants)
1995 – new model, ARA, was introduced to the publicity (Developing Relationships in Business Networks, Håkansson & Snehota, eds)
2000 – first Doctoral Consortium was added to the IMP Conference
2002 – introduction of the 4R Model (Managing Technological Development, Håkansson & Waluszewski)
2004 - first IMP Journal Seminar (Oslo), now organized annually
Impact[edit] The IMP Group has made a sustained and significant contribution to the development of theory and practice in the areas of business marketing. Their work extends from the original research study (IMP1) of international and domestic supplier-customer relations in Europe, to the later (IMP2) study of connected business relations and networks as well as to a multitude of other research projects on various aspects of business marketing (Wilkinson 2001). The results of their research has been published in the leading journals in the field (e.g., Anderson et al. 1994; Blankenburg-Holm et al. 1996; Hallen et al. 1990). Many books and articles have been published detailing their work including the development of their interaction approach and network models of industrial markets (Axelsson and Easton 1992; Ford 1990, 1997; Ford et al. 1998; Ford et al. 2002, Hakansson 1982, 1987, 1989; Hakansson and Snehota 1995; Turnbull and Valla 1986). The development of the IMP research group and its philosophy has also been described in various recent papers (e.g., Hakansson and Snehota 2000; McLoughlin and Horan 2002; Turnbull et al. 1996; Wilkinson 2001, Young 2002).
