Recent edit to Fog of war
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Fog of war, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Linking problems
editMost Dear Sunday Close,
Thank you for your comments on my edits. I want to clarify some of what I did, I do not seem to be able to reply directly to the announcement so I am making the comments here per your suggestion.
On Changing direct quotes, You said not to change direct quotes. I added only the ellipsis [...] indicating something was left out, there was not substantive change in the quote, I changed not Ben's words, only indicated that the quote was not a complete quote of what he said.
Example; I was born George. George said, "Now that Georgene has been born I am a Father!" That is an accurate and true statement. However it would be more precise if it were quoted as, "... Now that Georgene has been born I am a Father! ..." I said quite a few things since I was born up to the time Georgene was born, and I have said a lot since then, thus the ellipsis to indicate something was left out.
Concerning the resurrection: thanks for the correction! I more melodiously say, "Thanks for the Correction on the Resurrection!" I will change that to a reference instead of a link, now I know what dab in dab link means. I did not mean for Resurrection to be = 2 Shroud_of_Turin !!! I will change it to a reference, that article makes for very interesting reading and is part of the Canon of My Belief (not to be confused with canon), not necessarily mainline Pauline Middle of the Road Christianity, but my Belief anyway.
You said, "... You also are linking to disambiguation pages which should never be done (if you know that, then you are not bothering to look where your links go) ..." there is one other logical possibility which was not mentioned. I like the color blue and like as many of the words in the article to be blue with hoverable and clicable links even if they are a bit overused, sorry!!
I do all my editing in the subject preview as given by Wikipedia. What tools do you use in your editing?
George V73GT (I also like RED!!!)
- "I changed not Ben's words": You changed "can't" to "cannot". Those are words.
- "there is one other logical possibility which was not mentioned. I like the color blue and like as many of the words in the article to be blue with hoverable and clicable links even if they are a bit overused": Sorry, but this is incomprehensible. If you are saying you overlink because you like blue text, that is utterly absurd. Once again, read WP:OVERLINK and stop overlinking. Sundayclose (talk) 02:03, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited KRKW-LP, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Waimea. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: Unblock request from 30 June
editHey George,
Apologies for not getting back sooner. I got your message, but was travelling that day and must have forgotten about it. That IP block should have expired by now, and it looks like you are able to edit just fine. If it ever comes back, please leave a message on my talk page or contact the stewards to have an exemption placed on your account.
The block was placed because unfortunately someone from your workplace has been abusing their access to this site, harassing contributors here even after they were formally banned from contributing. Sometimes when the abuse ramps up we need to take preventative measures, and you got caught in one of those.
I see from your ending remark that you're a navy man like me! Apologies again for any inconvenience.
All the best, -- Ajraddatz (talk) 04:08, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

Using my signature
editWould you mind stop using my actual signature to provide a link to my page. Doing that can make it look like I have written something I did not. If you just want to ping me you can use the {{ping}} template, but it is not usually necessary to do that anyway as I always watchlist pages I have posted on. SpinningSpark 10:14, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
With GREAT APPOLOGIES for offending you Mx. Spinning Spark. I just copied and pasted to call you as you called yourself. I thought the official Wikipedia signature was four Tildes ~ ~ ~ ~ (without the spaces), as that triggers in the Wiki Markup Language your user name and time stamp. Please correct me if I am wrong! I used your signature as your name and it was most definitely not intended to "put words in your mouth", nor to make you appear to say something you did not. If you re-read the post that is obvious by the context that I was just calling you by your signature (name). Your signature/name is very pretty beautiful and I was just calling you by your beautiful colorful name/signature! One of the instruction pages says, "... be sure to sign your post with ~(no space)~(no space)~(no space)~(no space) ..." Again, please accept the deepest apologies a NOOB can give___GeorgeV73GT___

editHi, this diff shows the extent of overcapitalising and overlinking. Please take note. Also, some overfamiliar wording was removed. Tony (talk) 03:27, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
The article Enrico Zanetti (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
per WP:2DABS
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
