Thanks for updating File:IPhone_OS_4_Logo.png. Is there anyway you would be able to centre the iOS logo a little bit more to the right because it just seems a little off-centre to me. 86.176.55.232 (talk) 14:08, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Talk:Subnetwork

edit

Hi,

Here I put a link which I will explain about below: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Subnetwork#edit_id_91277922_abusive_edit part of your text: "and i was pointing out the history of subnets".

I think your idea about a history section for subnet or subnetmask is a good thing, because I was searching for subnet mask history, because I always thought that the subnet mask was some "invention" of microsoft, and that it was only for microsoft computers, and looking into a history section, I believe would have helped me understand why they "invented" the 'subnet mask'. Anyway I repeat: Good point about a history section in article. Logictheo 19:06, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries

Please stop. If you continue to make personal attacks on other people, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Thank you. . I've warned you previously to comment on content not contributors, but it seems you were unable to resist with this edit summary[1].--Crossmr 17:05, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

You are strange , i shall ignore you from now on and submit my changes for that page to peer review on the talk page.--Mancini 17:08, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
While I appreciate your effort to remove the personal attacks, once you've made one in an edit summary, I believe only an administrator can remove it. The edit I referenced above was in regards to the way you worded the edit summary, you could have requested assistance without referring to me as unskilled. The point with WP:NPA is to keep your comments on the content of the article, i.e saying "I think that this material X should have been kept in the intro" instead of saying "Editor X is being abusive and censoring me and he's unskilled and his expertise is questioned". I'm sure that between the two of us we can be adults and write a proper article.--Crossmr 17:26, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Like i said your behaviour is strange to me being so touchy , i do not have interest in personal attacks which is why i edited the summaries , my interest is in the wikipedia networking content --Mancini 17:38, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
In the past I've dealt with many editors who could not keep the discussion the article and felt the need to continually attack me and behave uncivily towards me. I was perhaps a bit hasty in thinking you might be going the same route, I apologize for misjudging you.--Crossmr 17:44, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ethernet73.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ethernet73.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:42, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dilnarin Demirbag

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Dilnarin Demirbag, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Billy Paul Williams

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Billy Paul Williams, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.pearlicka.com/artists_billypaulwilliams.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:13, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Macosx audiovideo corevideo 20091030.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.

Apple iOS

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page Apple iOS has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Please use the sandbox for testing any edits; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing for further information. Thank you. Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 00:29, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I've declined the speedy moving of iOS (Apple) because this is not necessarily uncontroversial (just look up on the talk page) and you have already listed it appropriately at WP:RM. You still need to list Category:iOS (Apple), though, as explained on the template.--Tikiwont (talk) 13:24, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Software distribution

edit

A tag has been placed on Software distribution requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of Software distribution

edit

The article Software distribution has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article only defines a term, and as such should be in a dictionary rather than an encyclopedia. Delete per WP:NOT#DICT.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Proposed deletion of File:Subnetting.gif

The file File:Subnetting.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused and unlikely to be used. Full disclosure, I redirected a draft currently using it, as it was already an article in mainspace and had been abandoned for a full decade.
