Hello, Normiad, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Ask a question.

Rename of Article 'One Ring'

edit

I am planning on changing the name of 'One Ring' to 'The Ring of Power

"Ring of Power" redirects to Power ring, a disambiguation page. The title is fine. Uthanc (talk) 21:05, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

D&D articles for Wikipedia 0.7

edit

Hi there!  :)

As someone who's worked on D&D and/or RPG articles before, I'm inviting you to participate in our goal to both improve articles that have been selected to be placed in the next Wikipedia DVD release, as well as nominate more to be selected for this project. Please see the WikiProject D&D talk page for more details. :) BOZ (talk) 04:16, 19 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please help me in my campaign for becoming an administrator. If you would like to support me in my campiagn please put your name on the lines below.

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 18:59, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your RfA

edit

Hello, I noticed that you created an RfA for yourself. Since you have less than 100 edits, it is very unlikely that it will succeed. (Most users need at least 4500 edits before an RfA). You could still transclude it onto WP:RFA if you want, but I would suggest that you add {{db-author}} to it to get it deleted and make another request in a few months when you have more experience. Yes, find some stub articles that you are interested in and make improvements to them. You should also create more pages to show that you are familiar with Wikipedia policies. Another thing that users look for during RfAs is the use of edit summaries. Please try to use them more often. If you need any help, you can ask me on my talk page. Thanks. SUL 22:36, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
An edit summary is what you type in the box above the "Save page" button. You should type a summary of the changes that you have made under where it says "Edit summary (Briefly describe the changes you have made)". SUL 22:39, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes, go to Category:Stub categories and find a category of stubs that you are interested in. SUL 11:42, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Programming

edit

{{helpme}} Is there anything on wikipedia that requires someone to help with HTML or XHTML. Even just putting it into sites on the programming language to make it more helpful if you're trying to learn the language.

Hiya. I'm not quite sure what you are asking... of course, you could help to improve HTML or any of the other articles. Make sure you reference the facts to reliable sources.
If you want to help in other ways, and you're knowledgable about HTML, I expect you'd soon pick up the wiki syntax used by templates - and we always need people to help with that.
Prob the best thing, overall, is to come and talk to me for a bit with this.

HTML

edit

I'm planning on making a tutorial on HTML on wikipedia, does anybody have an issue with this?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Normiad (talkcontribs)

Please read WP:NOTGUIDE. Tutorials should be made on a different wiki, such as Wikibooks. SUL 12:42, 20 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Spotlight

edit

Hi there. Hopefully you'll remember me, from my trying to help you; well, now it's my turn to ask for help.

I'm trying to help re-launch an idea called "Spotlight". The notion is to select an article and work on it collectively, via live discussion, for one week. If lots of people get involved, it can work really well; in the past, the project died off through lack of participants. Anyone can help out, because that's the whole point - we have many and varied skills, but between us, we can do amazing things. So - please join the channel, and add yourself to the participants in WP:SPOTLIGHT. Thanks for your time!  Chzz  ►  22:27, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
