Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Orphaned non-free image File:Logo of Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Logo of Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:17, 7 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Electoral system of Turkey into 2023 Turkish parliamentary election. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 17:56, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Cut-and-paste moves

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give 58th Cabinet of Turkey a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. * Pppery * it has begun... 12:39, 27 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of List of presidents of Turkey by age

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of presidents of Turkey by age requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of presidents of Tunisia by age. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Stop tagging hose redirects. They are valid redirects and they are not "atent nonsense, consisting purely of incoherent text or gibberish ". CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 09:02, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

No, they should be red links so people can see they are not existing pages and create it. Instead of circular redirects.--Randam (talk) 09:06, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Then you want Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion. They will not be deleted with a patently wrong rationale. I removed the circular redirects of the one you tagged. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 09:14, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Possibly point 10 is the one. However, there is no applicable Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#Redirects . If deleted with an invalid rationale someone else will be along to complain at you and me. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 09:27, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your talk page header

edit

If one hits the click here button of your talk page it leads to the talk page of Keivan.f. First I thought it was a bug, but I checked and Kevin.F is actually mentioned in the code. I wanted to ask you if you know something else about the presidency of the TIHV, as the TIHV said itself that Sebnem is its president but you corrected the info. I had a source that mentioned her presidency since 2009, so there are several versions, and I'd be glad if you could help to solve the mystery.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 18:56, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Here is the diff you added the template, it was in 2020, so I guess Keifan.f might have gotten some other weird messages or the template was simply not very effective :)Paradise Chronicle (talk) 19:01, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the heads-up. Let's hope the latter.
Regarding Sebnem: The 2022 president is Metin Bakkalcı as shown on their own website. It's consistent with their latest statement calling her 'President of TTB and a board member of TIHV' instead of something like 'President of TTB and TIHV'. Randam (talk) 20:53, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
You are correct, I also found some info. According to the TIHV she was president between 2018 and 2021. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 21:14, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
