Needed work, but I fixed Streatham Street

edit

Your draft was kinda rough and totally lacked sourcing, but it was a valid topic that we need an article on, so I tagged the weak bits, added a few citations and links, found a pic, and published it. What you can do:

  • Fix the bits I tagged as needing work (for vagueness, lack of source, etc)
  • Look on GoogleBooks, find more facts about Streatham, add those facts in, and cite those facts to the book you got them from. You can use http://reftag.appspot.com to automatically turn GoogleBooks links into full Wikipedia footnotes. See WP:Cite your sources for tips.
  • Is the photo I included the right part of town? Check out Wikimedia Commons to see if there are more correct or better pics.
  • The "Streets in London" category is kinda vague; open up that category and see if there's a more precise subcategory you can file this under instead. Take a look at the articles for other famous London streets, see if there are any facts/formats those article use that you can mimick in yours.

Good start, and I cleaned it up for you, so take a look at what I did and try to factor those things in for your future articles. Nice work and I hope you'll help us make more articles and improve existing articles. Remember sources come absolutely first, don't add any info you can't cite to a good source. There's no value to adding a fact we can't WP:Verify, so sources, sources, sources!

Thanks for your good work! Welcome to Wikipedia! MatthewVanitas (talk) 03:53, 25 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Streatham Street

edit

The article Streatham Street has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of noability for what the article itself calls a street in a "virtually unknown area".

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
