Yes, it was cold. But what makes this single day event notable? The Banner talk 09:07, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

- keep 100 deaths; and still remembered/written about in 2013, an "enduring" quality that moves beyond WP:NOTNEWS. Has WP:GNG. -- Green Cardamom (talk) 18:34, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
- Hmmm, what I have nominated was a totally different article than the present version. And with seven redirects (1994 cold wave, 1994 North American cold snap, 1994 cold snap, 1994 coldwave, 1994 coldsnap, 1994 cold, 1994 cold weather) I was at a loss straight away. - Keep - as Green Cardamom points out, there is WP:PERSISTENCE for this event, therefore passing WP:GNG. - The Bushranger One ping only 19:39, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
- Speedy close as keep as nominator. Author changed a poor, sloppy thing in a real article. Convinced of worthiness now. The Banner talk 20:20, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
