Band that does not meet any criterion in WP:BAND, and also significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources does not exist. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 16:47, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- If you observe the sources referenced in the article, they are completely verifiable. The Santa Barbara Independent has been around since 1986. It profiled the band back in 2013 and reviewed one of their shows earlier this year. I believe this satisfies the first first criteria for notability. I'm not an expert here, though, so I'm open to correction. --Penderworth (talk) 17:37, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

- Delete. Here's what I could find: a few pieces in the Santa Barbara Independent, which is local coverage (Isla Vista is an unincorporated community near Santa Barbara that is mostly home to UC Santa Barbara students), and this "local spotlight" on Speaks Volumes, which is mostly an interview. I don't think that's good enough to meet WP:BAND#1. The Speaks Volumes piece asserts they've gained the attention of Columbia and Atlantic, but until they put out 2 albums on one of them that doesn't count towards BAND#5. No other criteria met. Looks like it's too early yet. — Gwalla | Talk 18:01, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete. Good points.---Penderworth (talk) 22:23, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete per Gwalla. There is also a couple mentions within this Spin write-up, but the coverage on the group is not sufficient to meet WP:BAND #1. Gongshow talk 00:51, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete. Article fails to establish notability and Gwalla's research confirms that lack. 72.244.204.103 (talk) 02:56, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete. The Santa Barbara Independent and Daily Nexus sources linked are primary, not secondary. Although I vote delete, I believe that this band will received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources in the near future. Versace1608 (Talk) 16:35, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
