Unknown political separation movement. Article does not contain any reliable references. (Note: Not to be confused about Mahagujarat Movement) Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 05:20, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete. Wikipedia has an article titled Mahagujarat Movement, which is related to this topic, as Vigyani pointed out, although that was a movement in which Gujarat became a separate state within India around 1961, while this topic has the POV, if I grasp it correctly, that Gujarat should become a separate nation and break off from India. If correct, then the article should be titled something like Mahagujarat separatist movement or somesuch; to have the article titled the name of the new proposed country is somewhat original research-ish. If we run the search string -- ("Mahagujarat separatist movement" OR "gujarat separatist movement") (site:indianexpress.com OR site:thehindu.com OR site:timesofindia.com OR site:indiapress.org OR site:hindustantimes.com OR site:samachar.com OR site:ndiatoday.intoday.in OR site:tribuneindia.com OR site:deccanchronicle.com), there are no entries, suggesting this topic is not written about much in Indian news sources. If one searches for (Mahagujarat OR gujarat) ("separatist movement" OR "separate state") (site:indianexpress.com OR site:thehindu.com OR site:timesofindia.com OR site:indiapress.org OR site:hindustantimes.com OR site:samachar.com OR site:ndiatoday.intoday.in OR site:tribuneindia.com OR site:deccanchronicle.com), then there are a few sources, such as this one but which may be somewhat off-topic (a people within the area -- the Kutch? -- agitating for a break from the regular Gujarat state because of grievances), and here, but again are we talking about a separate area within Gujarat, not a separate nation, like in this source, again, with the idea being to have a region within Gujarat break off, to become an additional state within India. So as best I can tell, and while I have not researched this subject thoroughly, but only cursorily, is that the idea of the article is essentially unsubstantiated -- that there is no substantial media coverage of the idea of Gujarat breaking off as a separate nation from India -- so therefore the article should be deleted for lacking WP:RS and failing to meet WP:NOTE but of course I may change my view depending on new information.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 12:53, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete Just to avoid saying ditto, I'll note that this independence goal is identified in the article with a political party: Gujarat Swarajya Sangh, which article is currently PRODDED and for which I can find no significant information. If someone did find significant coverage, the articles should probably be merged. 24.151.10.165 (talk) 13:40, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

- Delete As per Vigyani and Tomwsulcer. Fails WP:N and WP:V. Please note the Mahagujarat Movement was for the creation of the State of Gujarat and it ended in 1960 after Gujarat was formed and this article has nothing to do with it.It is very nearly WP:OR.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 18:05, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
