- Keep. Image enhances reader's understanding of the topic being discussed, and cannot easily be replaced by words. It would be very cumbersome to explain what a dohyo-iri is to an unfamiliar reader - the image illustrates it perfectly. As it was a one-off event it is also not possible for a free equivalent to be created.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 02:25, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- But the image itself isn't that illustrative if the reader isn't familiar with the ceremony. For most readers, "traditional ring-entering ceremony at the Meiji Shrine" should be sufficient description, and the linked dohyo iri and shiranui articles should provide more details who readers who need it. - Delete - Doho-iyri, and the importance of it, are not described to any great extent in the article so this image does not really tie into the contents of the text. As a result it cant be seen as enhancing the readers understanding of the subject because the importance of the image is already dependent on the reader understanding its significance. If on the other hand the article did make great mention of Doho-iyri this image would be redundant to that text and would similarly need to be deleted Solid State Survivor (talk) 21:10, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Susana Martinez for Governor.png (delete | talk | history | logs) – uploaded by Johnj stevenson (notify | contribs | uploads).
- I question the authenticity of this Martinez/Sanchez image, claimed to be a logo of the Susana Martinez for Governor campaign. The present Martinez/Sanchez image was uploaded on top of an authentic Martinez-only logo.
(1) It is not located on the claimed source web site http://www.susanamartinez.com/
(2) Martinez and her Lieutenant Governor running mate John Sanchez are essentially running separate campaigns; there is almost no mention of Sanchez on the Martinez web site, in particular there are no joint logos or campaign signs
(3) neither Martinez nor Sanchez use the "Real New Mexican Values" slogan that appears on this logo
(4) the logo is similar in style to the authentic Martinez logo at the top of http://www.susanamartinez.com/, but in a different type face.
We need to have a verifiable source for this logo, otherwise it should be deleted. 69.96.194.94 (talk) 14:07, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: the original uploader has now reverted back to the Martinez-only version. ... discospinster talk 20:47, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: The Martinez-only version is not being questioned. I suggest that if no one steps forward to defend the Martinez-Sanchez version, we delete it from the history and leave the Martinez-only version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.211.119.17 (talk) 21:23, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
