Image is entirely redundant now that Eggman's infobox image contains both Modern and Classic Eggman's designs. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 03:43, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:English whisky distilleries 2024.jpeg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by ChefBear01 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

This is replaceable with a free image, as you can re-create this map on Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons using a free map of England and adding these places as dots onto that map (I am not an expert on doing this, but it's possible with not too much work if you know what you're doing). As such, fails WP:NFCC#1. Joseph2302 (talk) 19:19, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is currently only one accessible image to use that shows the most up to date list of English distillery. Removing the image would damage the quality of the articles in which it features and remove an important information that is needed for the relevant sections.ChefBear01 (talk) ChefBear01 (talk) 20:45, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Someone with enough knowledge (like people who are part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Maps) could create a freely licenced image with the same information, using the process I mentioned above. Therefore, we should not use a non free image when we don't need to, as this violates WP:NFCC#1. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:38, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. Anyone can create the map of England and add those whisky points then imply it with a free license. Kys5g talk! 13:18, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: The link provided by George Ho clearly states "Please note that this does not cover the usage of the "osu!" or "ppy" branding in any software, resources, advertising or promotion, as this is protected by trademark law". Defaulting to status quo unless a maintainer from the Osu! project states otherwise via e-mail to VRT. -Fastily 05:15, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free file may actually be free This file is from the ppy/osu GitHub repository, licensed under the Expat ("MIT") license. ~~2NumForIce (speak|edits) 22:52, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Relicense: Complex, non-simple icon that under a free license is clearly free. The tag below is its license. A game that under a free software license then its icon (logo) is also free under the same terms, or in other circumstances, the logo is licensed under another free license (e.g CC BY, CC BY-SA...), no matter how complex it is. Kys5g talk! 13:15, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Remain as non-free – Sorry, but the MIT license doesn't apply to this logo, according to this page. Furthermore, the triangles background goes from invisible at the top to more visible at the bottom, making the logo potentially eligible for US copyright. BTW, I don't see one of CC licenses mentioned in the page; just trademark laws apply. --George Ho (talk) 16:39, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The linked README.md only seems to assert that the osu! team reserves their rights under trademark law. There seems to be no assertion that the logo is licensed separately, and a trademarked logo can still be free under copyright law; see c:COM:CB#TRADEM. 824GOAT (talk) 21:42, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
