- Mammillaria aurilanata → Mammillaria aureilanata — This is a misspelling. See the IUCN Red List. I've tried to make the move myself, but there seems to be an "MediaWiki internal error" every time I try it. — Kauderwelsch (talk) 14:36, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hyundai Coupe → Hyundai Tuscani — (Discuss) — Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles/Conventions convention states that the "article titles shall bear the name used in the original market by the original manufacturer or marketer, regardless of sales". The other reason is to turn this current title into a disambiguation page because the recent Genesis Coupe have retained the Coupe nameplate in some countries. Donnie Park (talk) 13:31, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- Spinal-cord injury → Spinal cord injury — (Discuss) — The use of a hyphen is unnecessary and does not match the text within the article. WWGB (talk) 13:22, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- Designer baby → Trait selection — (Discuss) —
- 2008 South Ossetia war → 2008 Russian-Georgian war — (Discuss) — Relisting at WP:RM - discussion still ongoing; very controversial topic.--Aervanath (talk) 07:24, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- Takashi Saito (sumo wrestler) → Tokitsukaze heya rikishi hazing scandal — (Discuss) — I feel with the new title, there are far greater potential to write about the scandal itself than an BLP about a sumo wrestler that was notable for his death. As my Japanese is not-good, any title suggestions are welcome.. Donnie Park (talk) 00:57, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- The MacNeil / Lehrer NewsHour → The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer — (Discuss) — Reverting unilateral move to current page, per consensus above. Lehrer hasn't been on the show since 1995, and the show's current official name is as requested, per Official site. -M.Nelson (talk) 00:29, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
June 14, 2009
- Jack Thompson (attorney) → Jack Thompson (activist) — (Discuss) — It has been suggested that the page be moved to indicate that Mr. Thompson is no longer an attorney as he has been disbarred, but he continues to act as an activist in these matters. Thoughts anyone? Beeblebrox (talk) 21:29, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Australian rules football → Australian football — (Discuss) — the official name of the sport is Australian Football, therefore that should be the name of the article and Australian Rules Football (which is an informal name) should redirect to it. Rulesfan (talk) 16:21, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Bühlmann tables → Bühlmann decompression algorithm — (Discuss) — Since Bühlmann's work was actually to produce a decompression algorithm, which was then used to produce dive tables and form the basis of software in dive computers, the name "Bühlmann tables" only reflects part of what this article should be about. Both Gene Hobbs and I want to expand this article further to complement the biography Albert A. Bühlmann, thus aiming to provide a complete picture of his life and work without fragmenting into more than two articles. Both Bühlmann tables and Bühlmann algorithm would be set to redirect here. --RexxS (talk) 13:53, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Kalika-Purana → Kalika Purana — (Discuss) — To bring the name of the article in line with rest of the articles of other Puranas, see Category:Puranas Ekabhishek (talk) 10:47, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Vibrissa → Whiskers — (Discuss) — (no reason given) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.167.70.132 (talk) 02:34, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Swap meet → Swap meet (disambiguation) — (Discuss) — Most links (and probably most users, certainly including me) expect "Swap meet" to redirect to Flea market. The other links in this dab page (the song by Nirvana and the game on The Price Is Right) should be on a separate dab page. Currently, "Swap meet (disambiguation)" redirects to "Flea market" (!), and so I can't sort this out myself. I doubt anyone will put forward a serious objection, given what links to Swap meet. See also Swap Meet (with a capital M), which maybe should redirect to the dab page, since it will likely refer one of the other meanings. leevclarke (talk) 02:05, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Criticism of Top Gear → Criticism of Top Gear (2002 TV series) — (Discuss) — This article was split out from the one on the current format of Top Gear. The current format of Top Gear is the one that gets viewers and has attracted notable criticism. There is no reason to have items from the previous format- as far as there was criticism, it can be integrated into that article. Nevard (talk) 00:25, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

- Shades of Green → Shades of Green (resort) — (Discuss) — so that Shades of Green can become a redirect to Variations of green, which is the article about different shades of the colour green. I suspect that most people entering "shades of green" into the search box are looking not for the resort but for the article about colours. Shades of green (note capitalisation) currently redirects to Variations of green, and the variations article already has a hatnote directing those looking for the resort here. Thryduulf (talk) 21:47, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ming Dao → Ming Dow — (Discuss) — Although Ming Dao is the pinyin version of his name, his name is romanized as Ming Dow in magazines and screen credits. Sources : magazine article (http://gb.cri.cn/6851/2005/11/28/114@799056_7.htm), Chinese Movie Database (http://www.dianying.com/jt/person/Mingdao), Opening credits for "Angel Lover" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZPPhrlns6w) Qylecoop (talk) 21:47, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- Vilayat-e Faqih → Wilayat al-Faqih — (Discuss) — Since it was moved by a banned user for no logical reason. "ولاية الفقيه" is and Arabic term not a person term and prenounce "Wilayat al-Faqih" not "Vilayat-e Faqih". Salam32 (talk) 12:02, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- Industry trade group → Trade association — (Discuss) — 'Trade association' seems to be the common term, read the comments. Attention of a native English speaker would be helpful... --Kuteni (talk) 11:25, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- Foot of the Mountain (album) → Foot of the Mountain — (Discuss) — Foot of the Mountain is currently a redirect, but it should be the main article page. I don't see any need for the (album) part of the title, since there are no other Wikipedia articles called Foot of the Mountain. Aphasia83 (talk) 11:13, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

- Dunblane school massacre → Dunblane massacre — (Discuss) — Move was done without discussion and the name "Dunblane massacre" is the one commonly used for this. (Lord Gøn (talk) 21:17, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Film Assessment Headquarters → Film Review Office — (Discuss) — This term is a translation of Filmprüfstelle, which also appears elsewhere on the Internet as Film Review Office. The logic of the German term indicates that these are offices - censorship boards - and, after all, one can't have two headquarters. I have already edited the article to reflect this. I am a certified translator translating a book about Disney and the Nazis, and my professional judgment is that Film Review Office is a more accurate translation. - Dr. Geoff Koby 66.61.25.91 (talk) 17:34, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Space Shuttle Challenger launch decision → STS-51-L launch decision — (Discuss) — Challenger was launched ten times, and launch/delay decision had to be made for all of those missions (in some cases multiple times on the same mission). This article only covers the decision to launch STS-51-L, so should be named accordingly. --GW… 14:37, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Born again (Christianity) → Born-again Christian — (Discuss) — Wikipedia naming conventions state that adjectives should redirect to nouns, therefore "Born-again Christian" is a more appropriate title for this article. Neelix (talk) 13:47, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- James Stewart (actor) → Jimmy Stewart — (Discuss) — Jimmy Stewart is the name most used in popular discussion about this actor. In fact, it pretty much an iconic name. It also has the advantage of not needing to be disambiguated. Yworo (talk) 13:35, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- David Archuleta → David Archuleta (singer) — (Discuss) — See talk page. 05:37, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- George Francis Stephens → Frank Stephens — (Discuss) — This is the most commonly used name, in fact the only name that shows up in reliable sources. There are no links within Wikipedia to any other notable individual other than the one notable for founding Arden, Delaware. Elpiseos (talk) 05:03, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Jokela school massacre → Jokela school shooting — (Discuss) — Back to Jokela school shooting, as it was moved without discussion. Further, this is the term used in the official report. (Lord Gøn (talk) 01:27, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- List of BitTorrent clients → Comparison of BitTorrent clients — (Discuss) — I find it interesting that both List and Comparison of Web Browsers exist above. The article was originally named comparison of BT clients and its goal still is Comparison of BT Clients/Software. It was only changed solely because of obeying "rules" but I feel that if other Comparison of ____ articles exist, why must this one conform to some overarching rules when reverting the name would be much more accurate? - Visual display unit → Computer monitor — (Discuss) — As pointed out above, there is already an article on video monitors. --Srleffler (talk) 00:26, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

- Goth subculture → Gothic subculture — (Discuss) — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 22:51, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Painted Rocks (Arizona) → Painted Rock Petroglyph Site — (Discuss) — The article is about a site administered and maintained by the Bureau of Land Management and is officially named, by them, "Painted Rock Petroglyph Site". user:Doncram is insistent upon using the name that shows in the National Register of Historic Places of "Painted Rocks", to the point where s/he continues moving it to a name that requires a parenthetical disambiguator. Even setting aside that "Painted Rock Petroglyph Site" is the official name used by the entity that owns and operates the site, WP:NCDAB dictates that "When there is another term or more complete name that is equally clear and unambiguous, that should be used." If "Painted Rock Petroglyph Site" is not a more complete name, I do not know what is. Shereth 22:49, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Crustacean → Crustacea — (Discuss) — For consistency, this article should be moved. I agree with the reasons for the move request made in 2005. There were some people who opposed the move, on the basis that the word "crustacean" is used more in everyday language than "crustacea," but why not just put a redirect from Crustacean to Crustacea? See above. 63.228.104.161 (talk) 22:45, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- High Society (Porter Steele) → High Society (composition) — (Discuss) — Jafeluv (talk) 18:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- KZ Gusen → Gusen concentration camp — (Discuss) — Conformity to other articles on concentration camps and avoidance of German acronyms. Gusen concentration camp pointed previously to Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp. However, this is wrong as long as the pages have not been merged. Andreas (T) 18:05, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Baichung Bhutia → Bhaichung Bhutia — (Discuss) — There are more Google hits for "Bhaichung Bhutia" and his club http://www.mohunbaganclub.com/features_view.php?id=MzM= lists him as Bhaichung Spiderone (talk) 15:53, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Root vegetable → List of culinary root tubers — (Discuss) — I propose to expand the scope of the article by moving it to List of culinary root tubers --KVDP (talk) 12:03, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- University of Chicago Booth School of Business → Booth School of Business — (Discuss) — The Booth School of Business is the official name, and there is no ambiguity arising from this proposed move. --71.147.56.247 (talk) 03:35, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Arroyo Trabuco → Trabuco Creek — (Discuss) — "Trabuco Creek" is a more commonly used name, but a redirect already exists. Don't know why the page was titled this way in the first place. Shannon1talk contribs 00:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

- Storm kettle → Kelly Kettle — (Discuss) — Even though it is brand name, but search for good generic name failed so far. Timurite (talk) 19:25, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Sergey Bubka → Serhiy Bubka — (Discuss) — His name is transliterated from Ukrainian as Serhiy Bubka --Riwnodennyk ✉ 18:06, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- List of artists signed to EMI → List of EMI artists — (Discuss) — See reason below. —harej (talk) 05:25, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Sinhalese language → Sinhala language — (Discuss) — The sections 'move results' and 'Sinhalese' in the talk page discuss enough details why the language must be Sinhala, not Sinhalese. This conforms to the standard usage, such as unicode consortium [1] and Sri Lankan government portal for local Languages [2]. Once the concensus on the name had been reached for the name Sinhala, User:Tobias_Conradi (who has not made any contributions to the page or discussion, and who is now banned indefinitely for some reason, so no discussion is possible) has changed the name from Sinhala back to Sinhalese, without providing any valid reason. - Bodies Without Organs → BWO — (Discuss) — Please move this page to BWO as per the uncontested discussion both here and on the old BWO page. This reflects the fact that the name of the band (founded in 2004) changed from Bodies Without Organs to BWO in early 2006 and Wikipedia has yet to properly reflect this. BWO was previously a disambiguation page (which I have moved, but can't move this page into its place), but it is clear that this page will be the one wanted by the vast majority of users searching for BWO. - The Merchant of Death → The Merchant of Death (novel) — (Discuss) — Can a disambugation page be made at which Merchant of Death inmediatelly goes to. This page should be moved to The Merchant of Death (novel). Also, merchants of death also implies to gun companies, cigarette companies, alcohol, oil, fast food, pharmaceutical and hazardous waste industries. See Thank_You_for_Smoking. User:91.182.175.118 15:11, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Calf (disambiguation) → Calf — (Discuss) — When I read "calf" I see part of a human leg. WikiProject Anatomy is pretty much inactive; otherwise Wikipedia of course would have an article about the human calf, since the human calf logically is the primary topic for Calf. But it is more egalitarian to "share" the page name with other senses of "calf", in the form of a disambiguation page. See also Talk:Calf#Requested move. --Una Smith (talk) 08:31, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Calf → Calf (cattle) — (Discuss) — The discussion above calls for resolution via WP:RM. The article content is about cattle calves, not any other kind of calf. Per articles in Category:Cattle, especially in Category:Cattle breeds, the usual qualifier is "(cattle)". --Una Smith (talk) 08:21, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
