Article was deleted for: (A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject). I would like access to the most recent version of the page, possibly in my userspace (as a draft), so I can work on improving the article. -(Rovinemessage) 11:56, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

- Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. I will notify user Marasmusine (talk), who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a debate lasting seven days, to which you would be welcome to contribute. The article needs references (a) to verify what it says, and (b) to establish Wikipedia:Notability. JohnCD (talk) 14:01, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

The article had participation and comments on whether to be deleted or not. There was not a consensus to delete. Although considered marginal whether the article meets WP:Creative and WP: Bare there were two deletes and two keeps and a strong interest in contributing to the article to improve it. Biographee has produced and directed award winning television PSAs and theatrically released films, received national commendations from FBI director Robert Mueller, and won an Emmy Award, the msot coveted award in his field. He is referenced in other Wikipedia articles, and as a tenured film professor viewed as an expert in his field having been quoted various times in major newspaer articles and journals. Biographee, upon my research, is also a member of the Board of Directors for LA36 television station and President of the California Faculty Association- the collective bargaining unit for California State University faculty. Speedy deletion of articles like this one challenges the integrity of Wikipedia. -Prease (talk) 16:39, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
- Not done This is not a speedy deletion, and we cannot restore articles deleted via AFD. You'll need to request a deletion review, or (probably better) contact the deleting admin and ask if they will userify the content to a draft for you to work on. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 17:03, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

The page was deleted citing no evidence for notability. However, such evidence exists and I request that the page be restored so that sources establishing notability can be added. Notability evidence includes a New York Times Article about the company, an interview with one of its founders on NPR, and an an article which establishes it as the winner of TechCrunch Disrupt, a large national tech startup competition. -Dandelany (talk) 15:23, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
- @Dandelany: Done As a contested PROD, the article has been restored. The concerns about the content are still valid, and I've notified the original PRODer DGG (NYPL) (DGG) in case they feel an AFD discussion is merited. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 17:12, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

- Note: Of the speedy deletions this article has, the most recent deletion is a A7. Articles meeting this criterion are generally not undeleted either because they require a complete rewrite or they violate our biographical or fair-use policies. The other deletion, a G11, also can't be restored for similar reasons. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 10:19, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
- Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about companies. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning companies will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. Also this had a promotional tone. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:07, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

- Not done. I can't unilaterally overturn the deletion decision, however it's been 4 years and the deletion was undertaken because the article didn't make a claim as to the importance of the subject. You can recreate the article and add sourcing so it's apparent it meets the basic guidance for inclusion on wikipedia or you may start a new draft via articles for creation where you can work on it at your leisure. If you'd like me to start a draft page for you with the content that was on the page in 2010 I'd be happy to do so. Let me know here or on my talk page. Protonk (talk) 14:23, 19 July 2014 (UTC)

- On a side note, you'll need to edit the article to make it more neutral and encyclopedic. It's not promotional per se, but it is written a bit more like a casual blog or news entry than would be comfortable. Just small tweaks here and there should do it. - Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Neo-Catholicism (2nd nomination), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Dennis Brown (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:30, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

There is a portal block for social media & this is the only red link on said box. A stub or poorly cited article makes a better placeholder than a complete blank. -23.116.49.179 (talk) 06:50, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- Comment: Hmm... from looking at the deleted version, part of the big rationale for its deletion was that it was written with an WP:OR tone. I can kind of see where they're coming from. I don't mind restoring it, but it will need to be improved or it will likely inevitably be deleted again. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:13, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- I'm looking for sources to see if there's anything I can throw up there, but I'm not finding a lot to show that this term is very frequently used. There are a few hits, but mostly in self-published sources and it's almost exclusively mentioned in relation to ancient Egypt in specific. I'm just concerned that if restored, it'll just be a brief reprieve before deletion. Being mentioned in the portal doesn't always mean that something should be listed there- sometimes it just means that someone added it and it needs to be removed. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:17, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- It could also be seen as a content fork of hierarchy or social class in many ways, although this article mentions intimacy. I'm just more than a little concerned that none of the sourcing I'm finding really uses this term in this specific manner and that deletion of some sort would be inevitable. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:21, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- Basically all I really want is some reassurance that you will try to work on the article (or get someone else to work on it) after I restore it and that there is some sort of RS out there. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:57, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
Albasco.com
Hi, I had added an article about Albasco.com company, an Iranian online shop. Unfortunately this article is deleted. I request for an opportunity to edit the content of that article and remove the mistakes including too many links to the company's itself that makes these misunderstandings that is an advertising or copyright infringement. - Not done - this page was deleted in accordance with criterion for speedy deletion A7. If you believe that this decision was made in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, please contact the administrator who carried out the deletion, user Mike Rosoft (talk · contribs). If you have already done so, your concerns can be taken to deletion review. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:02, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- The article was deleted at AfD in 2010, so it has that going against it as well. I'm also concerned that the article was written in a fairly promotional manner. Sentences such as " Albasco.com is trying to introduce online shopping to Iranian people as an easy and reliable tool to purchase a variety of goods with appropriate and reasonable costs and prices" comes across as an advertisement. What I recommend is that you try creating a new version of the article at WP:AfC, our articles for creation page. It won't be in our mainspace, but you would be able to work on creating a new version of the article and you'd have more time to work on it as well. We usually only speedy AfC articles if they are abandoned (6+ months without edits to the page) or violate our guidelines so severely that it cannot remain in the article space, which is usually pretty rare. (The types that do this are usually very extreme promotional articles, threats, copyright violations, and so on.) Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:02, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- On a side note, coverage does not have to be in English. Even if it is in say, a foreign language newspaper, that would still count towards notability. A good place to start for looking for sources would be Wikipedia:WikiProject Iran. Since most of the coverage would be in a foreign language, it would be best if you were to have someone who speaks/reads the language look over the sources and help show you the best places to look for coverage. You could get help at WP:RS/N, a noticeboard for reliable sources, but I have a feeling that you would inevitably be steered towards the Iran wikiproject because of the language barrier.
