Hua Hin Hospital (Thai: โรงพยาบาลหัวหิน), is a hospital located in Hua Hin district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Thailand. It is classified under the Ministry of Public Health as a general hospital and despite not being in the provincial capital, Prachuap Khiri Khan, it is the largest hospital in the province. It is an affiliated teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.[1][2]
History
[edit]Hua Hin initially had a health station located on Naeb Khehat Road, operated by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health. It consisted solely of clinics treating malaria, tuberculosis, leprosy and sexually-transmitted diseases. In 1976, a hospital was planned for construction to the north of the town, which was completed and opened as Hua Hin Hospital on 16 May 1979 by Princess Sirindhorn.[3][4]
