Beirut Barracks bombing
[edit]The article states that the 24th MAU lost 241 personnel in the 1983 Beirut Barracks bombing. 241 members of the US component of the Multinational Peacekeeping Team were killed in the attack — but only 220 were Marines, in addition to 18 Navy and 3 army. Not sure if the Navy and Army personnel should be included in the MAU casualties, or understood to have been serving alongside them. Perhaps Navy personnel (who were almost all medical) could be understood as having augmented the MAU, so including them might be correct — but Army? Someone with good understanding of these issues should consider the best way to word this statement in the best way? NearTheZoo (talk) 13:24, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
