Stub?
[edit]Not sure it's a stub. Not much more to be said on the subject. Harry was a white dog with black spots 05:47, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
-- How about explaining the mysterious "wet" vs. "dry", "damp" etc. terminology? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.13.26.148 (talk) 21:09, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
It's now explained in the article and the merger would do no harm to it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Msaky (talk • contribs) 22:28, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
Blanking references
[edit]There is no reason to revert references if valid and relevant. --Kukini hablame aqui 17:15, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- Wasn't sure the Indigo reference was valid. It looked like spam to me in its intial incarnation. It's just a list of available aircraft. But with the additional paragraph I think it's OK. Harry was a white dog with black spots 17:31, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- Understood. We might want articles on "Dry Lease" and "Damp Lease" as well. --Kukini hablame aqui 17:39, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
forms of aircraft leasing
[edit]seems like wet/damp/moist/dry/frigid leasing aren't broad enough subjects to each need their own article. therefore, i suggest that this be moved to something like forms of aircraft leasing, or simply milled into aircraft finance. pauli133 (talk) 16:15, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- An article on aircraft leasing makes sense. Although closely relating to aircraft finance, I don't think they are coextensive, so splitting them probably makes more sense. --Legis (talk - contribs) 17:35, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Agree seems better to explain the different arrangements on one page. MilborneOne (talk) 19:19, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- Agree, whether on aircraft finance or aircraft leasing, either is fine with me. - BillCJ (talk) 19:30, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- If we go with a new combined article, I'd recommend moving Wet lease to aircraft leasing, as it has a much longer efit history, and making Dry lease a redirect there. An admin would probably have to delete the current aircraft leasing first. - BillCJ (talk) 19:43, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
- I've been BOLD, and moved the page to Aircraft lease (noun form). It needs a Lead (I have no idea what to say in it!), and the text could use some reorganization. Sorry for leaving it half done, but I wanted to jump-start the merging. - BillCJ (talk) 11:00, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- Should this article discuss the change to airline balance sheets given the accounting changes embodied in IFRS 16 Leases?58.6.169.136 (talk) 02:30, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, but not to excessive lengths. And cite sources.--Quisqualis (talk) 06:43, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

Damp Lease
[edit]As it appears in FedEx Express, the term "damp lease" links here, but that's the end of it. The term is not mentioned in this article. Clarification, please? Mfwills (talk) 06:21, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Origin of terms "wet leases" and "dry lease".
[edit]I heard years ago that the origin of the terms "wet leases" and "dry lease" came from the fact that a wet lease contract was for a longer period of time and thus was painted in the livery of the company. Dry leases, being shorter, weren't painted. Any truth in this.--Dmol (talk) 21:45, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
