independence

[edit]

"In May 1810, the May Revolution where Argentina declared its independence from Spain" That part is incorrect. Argentina declared its independence in July 1816. At that moment where fighting against Spaniard empire but also against the crown of Portugal that was in Brazil. In 1810 was the May Revolution, the first patriot government (Primera Junta) beginning of a continental war of independence. 1824, In December, It was the end of the Spaniard imperial army in America. poor grammatical construction

[edit]

"Since a great portion of the immigrants to Argentina before the mid-19th century were of Spanish descent, and a significant part of the late-19th century/early-20th century immigrants to Argentina were Spaniards, the large majority of Argentines are at least partly of Spanish ancestry."

why the word "Since" is a key because the clause and subordinate are too long to read. and it feels uncomfortable. so we hope get a change for this mistake. 182.253.54.74 (talk) 09:19, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
