Quote: "I never want to go back to boarding school. I spent three years at Assumption College Kilmore and I haven't pleasant memories. The college had 15 football ovals and alongside one of them was a classroom! I made good friendships but it was difficult for me because I was a city-raised kid. It was like being sent to Siberia - it certainly was as cold as Siberia. I was there in the late 1960s. I'd come home for holidays with a heightened appreciation of my freedom. The great benefit of boarding school was the double-bill movies every Saturday night, so I saw lots of films I otherwise wouldn't have watched."

Relevance of section on AFL/VFL Team of the Century?
[edit]Abductive suggests the section on "Assumption College AFL/VFL Team of the Century" is off-topic. I tend to agree. I favor adding the 19 players not already listed as "Notable alumni" to that section instead. Asking other editors who have contributed to this article to weigh in: Sirfurboy, GMH Melbourne, Eastmain, Cassiopeia, LemurLiterature, Discospinster, GraziePrego, RainGuest, Lynch44, RodRabelo7. — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 22:45, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Agree, seems like niche trivia. GraziePrego (talk) 22:56, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Actually, I just set Citation_bot on all articles in the category. It looks like an IP added the inline tag. In the interests of a quick resolution, I agree that a whole section is WP:undue weight. Instead, it's acceptable under the WP:ALUMNI guideline to follow User:Grand'mere Eugene's suggestion. Abductive (reasoning) 23:47, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oh gosh, yes. That shouldn't be there. I have moved players into notable alumni as suggested. I note that they lack sourcing, unlike the existing notable alumni. However, clicking through does suggest they are correct. Do we want to mark the section as needing more sources now? Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 07:47, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Finished adding cits —no cn tags needed for this section. — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 17:52, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for your efforts on that. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 18:32, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
