Rumors on blogosphere
[edit]- Gee, I hope that wasn't a pathetic attempt to accuse me of vandalism for disagreeing with you on a discussion page. That's just not gonna fly. But whatever. I never altered the article, I just said my piece in the discussion page. I'm not going to waste time changing an article when someone and their army of sockpuppets will just change it back. I actually have a job. Majestic Lizard 04:58, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Did I ever say it was you vandalizing, jay-brone, or was I just saying I'm tired of the vandalism? Perhaps if you climbed down from your soapbox of digital manipulations and started reading for a change, I never once said YOU were a vandal nor did I mean to imply that you were. You just go on and do your job, whatever that may be, and leave this to others. Your work here is done. Thanks. - DrachenFyre > YOU! 12:12, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, you did make that implication that I was a vandal. I'm Majestic_Lizard on here, not "Jay-brone" and your insistance to express yourself in a rude and condescending manner only undermines and contradicts your statement that you were doing anything other than attempting to paint me a vandal. You may not realize it but the statment you just made in which you referred to "digital manipulations" simply accuses me of something equating vandalism yet again. Do not order me not to particpate in Wikipedia discussion on this or any other page. Do not dictate to me when my work is done and I won't dictate the same to you. Its amazing how people like you can get away with the exact same behavior you accuse other members of. Majestic Lizard 18:21, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
I've deleted the rest of this discussion because it is a clear violation of official policy. Please take note of the template at the top of the page which states, "Negative material, especially if potentially libelous, must be removed immediately if it is unsourced or poorly sourced. " Please stop making unsupported claims about St John's sexuality and/or his career. Talk pages are covered by BLP and it is the responsibility of the person making the claims to provide sources as evidence, not for others to disprove the claims. And by sources, we're talking about reliable sources such as The New York Times or the Washington Post. If you cannot provide such evidence, don't post the claims. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 12:30, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- 1) Your description of what is and is not a reliable source is highly ambiguous. The Washington Post and the New York Times are not always ideal reliable sources nor are they the only sources with credibility.
- 2) Something is only libel if it is false.
- 3) Your insinuation that homosexuality is "negative" is insensitive and rude.
- 4) Also your idea that in order for something to be true it must be endorsed by some "official" mouth piece is simply ludicrous. When you are in a burning building do you wait for the fire chief to tell you its on fire before you exit? I hope not.
What you have really done here is blank out a counter argument to your own opinion under the pretext of enforcing wikipedia regulations. Majestic Lizard 18:15, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- Majestic Lizard, these aren't my "ideas" and "descriptions" and frankly, it is completely irrelevant if you find them "ludicrous". These are straight from the policy pages of Wikipedia and you must abide by them if you want to contribute to this site. Furthermore, I have not "blank[ed] out a counter argument to [my] own opinion under the pretext of enforcing wikipedia regulations." I am just trying to do my job as an administrator and your accusations are offensive and a gross violation of assume good faith. I did not even know who St John was until this article and the BLP issues here were brought to my attention and I don't care one way or the other about his sexuality or his film work. I have no "counter argument" beyond ensuring that this article and this talk page is compliant with the applicable policies. Everything on Wikipedia must be verifiable through reliable sources and your opinion that that is ludicrous is, again, irrelevant. As is your opinion of the papers The New York Times and the Washington Post. These are newspapers specifically mentioned in policy as acceptable as reliable sources. You really need to watch your allegations and accusations. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 15:01, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
sorry guys
[edit]i added that last one but i didnt, know it should e best left off. i wasnt trying to put anything against john as i looked up to him as a kid and wanted to clear things up. im very sorry.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.119.34.149 (talk • contribs) 03:34, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
proof against the adult film thing
[edit]Firstly, I can't believe my browser has been to a site named queer click, but here you go. Proof
Also, if for some reason his bio disappeared, I think my browser erred and for some reason didn't post. Ilikenwf 07:17, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Is this related to the gay rumor thing?199.80.117.25 15:06, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Why is there no mention of this, rumor or not, in the main article? If you ask me or any average Woodson student about the Red Power Ranger, one of the first things out of their mouths will be related to this. (Personally, I'm disappointed it's most likely not true, as it would be cool to have a gay porn star as an alumni!)--Miscellanium 17:24, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- WP:RS. WP:V. WP:OR. 3 policies which say no rumors allowed. Find a reliable source saying something about this and then add something about him being a gay porn star. Otherwise it's speculation/OR. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 18:42, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Austin St. John is not the one that was in those porn films. That has been proven, I've read it over a year ago on the web when my roomy brought it to my attention and I did a little investigative work. Sorry, no source, but you can do the same thing I did and find out for yourself. 192.249.47.11 18:05, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Power Morphicon appearance
[edit]Is there any info about the recent Power Morphicon convention? Angie Y. 20:19, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
I think http://www.rangerboard.com has quite a bit of info. I have a problem with the fact no Power Morphicon entry exists, but I am not qualified to make one as I didn't go. Ilikenwf 16:11, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

- This is a result of persistent vandalism of the image on Commons. —Cryptic 15:21, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- Interesting. El Greco(talk) 16:15, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like someone vandalized it again! Geeze, whats with some people? And its not like you can see him there, inside either. --p4 23:26, 13 November 2007 (UTC)p4poetic--p4 23:26, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Date of Birth
[edit]In the article, it states his DOB as 17th September 1975, however, in the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Classixx" Season 1: Disc 1 case, it states that he was born on September 17th 1974. So.....which one is correct? Michaelclarkc 20:33, 4th April 2008 (UTC)
Reason for leaving Power Rangers
[edit]This is an audio interview down with Austin St. John and Steve Cardenas. At 12:00 he explains that his mother got sick and he wasn't being paid enough to help her out, so he left along with Walter Jones and Thuy Trang.
I don't think I need anymore proof that this is a trustworthy source, seeing that it's an interview with Austin himself.
He has many different stories as far as why he left. No one knows the actual truth — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.5.185.143 (talk) 21:21, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
Removed speculation section
[edit]I just want to note what I'm doing here and why, before I remove it. Right now there is a speculation section that talks about rumors that he was in gay porn, but the only citation provided is that he isn't credited as such on IMDb. How is this notable, or verifiable that said rumors existed? You could literally add that to any wikipedia page of any person who is listed on IMBd: the Goodwinian example - "There were rumors that Adolf Hitler starred in gay porn films but here's a citation to his imdb.com page proving he WASN'T!" Does that mean a section dispelling unverifiable rumors of gay porn need to be on Hitler's page? Of course not, so I am removing the speculation section of this article until citations which meet Wikipedia's guidelines can be provided which show that such rumors were prevalent, and that they are notable enough to be included on the actor's overall biographical article. 70.126.40.22 (talk) 07:25, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Austin St. John --> Jason Lawrence Geiger
[edit]This page has been moved given the fact he has been recently identified as Mr. Geiger. Climber1228 (talk) 16:20, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
- it appears someone doesn't agree with the move. Please tell us why you think this page should be moved. thanks for understanding. Climber1228 (talk) 14:48, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- Why are you replying to yourself? CreecregofLife (talk) 14:50, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- Climber1228 You still do not have consensus or any reason why this should change per WP:COMMONNAME. You moving it after being informed of this and the requirements to get consensus is nothing short of disruptive, if you do not move it back and wait, I will be requesting a mainspace block. PRAXIDICAE💕 14:52, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, Prax if you feel the page should be moved to Austin St. John then you should prove the consensus. I was trying to make a WP:BOLD move and you're the only one that's annoyed by it.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Climber1228 (talk • contribs)
- That is incorrect. The consensus was established before you moved it. Otherwise Miley Cyrus, Tom Cruise and Lady Gaga wouldn’t be at those names--CreecregofLife (talk) 14:57, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- I've just moved it back to Austin St. John to restore how it was. Before it's moved again it must go through the full WP:RM process. -Kj cheetham (talk) 15:00, 26 May 2022 (UTC)

- That's as if I would move "Miley Cyrus" to "Hanna Montana". Miley Cyrus is the real name, and Hanna Montana is the alias. Climber1228 (talk) 15:01, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- Wrong. Her name is Destiny Hope Cyrus, but she is known almost exclusively as Miley Cyrus and the same for the rest. You're simply incorrect. PRAXIDICAE💕 15:03, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- She legally changed it somewhere towards the end of Hannah Montana to Miley Ray Cyrus, but Destiny Hope Cyrus is where Climber would intend Miley to go based on his actions here CreecregofLife (talk) 15:05, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- Oh my god, you really don’t know, do you? Their characters are not their aliases. Do you know what a stage name is? CreecregofLife (talk) 15:03, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- Also to add that the WP:OFFICIAL name isn't always the article name, as per WP:COMMONNAME which has already been mentioned. -Kj cheetham (talk) 15:04, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- Didn’t even realize he was the one who moved it before. Couldn’t even copy and paste the name so it’d be spelled properly. They also made some weird edits that replaced St. John with Geiger, resulting in at least two “Austin Geiger” mentions CreecregofLife (talk) 15:41, 26 May 2022 (UTC)

College
[edit]St. John said in the reference cited that he went to Concordia University but doesn't say which Concordia University--the one in Montreal, one of the campuses in the Concordia University System or the unaccredited Concordia College and University. Do we know for sure? Aresef (talk) 21:33, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
Height
[edit]Someone listed his height as 5 ft 10 which is not accurate. He's shorter then Jason David Frank who was actually 5 ft 10. Austin is barely above 5 ft 7. BuffyRangerFan (talk) 21:27, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
Career
[edit]Austin is retired from acting, retired from Martial Arts and retired from being a Paramedic. His only income now comes from comic cons. He admitted to this when he was arrested May 2022. He told the courts he needed to still do comic cons to make money as that is the only income for his home. His wife doesn't work. BuffyRangerFan (talk) 21:29, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
Lying in an interview
[edit]There is a citation connected to an interview where Austin claims that the whole cast including Jason David Frank was on board to leave if demands weren't met. This is Not true. Jason David Frank stated this when he was alive. Amy Jo Johnson and David Yost also admitted that this was not true. BuffyRangerFan (talk) 21:31, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
Legal Case regarding COVID Fraud
[edit]You may want to protect this page from being edited for at least a few weeks because on Monday May 6th 2024, Austin St. John had pleaded guilty to all charges against him. We don't know when the sentencing will take place.
