Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Please note that this means independent reliable sources. The only liast of exchanges that is in this article is of the largest exchanges, and to include any additions we would need very good quality reliable sources . Let's add info about "Software security audits for cryptocurrency trading platforms". In section "History" please change subtitle "2014 to present" to "2014". After it in section "History" add a new subsection "2018 to present". After it you can add the following text and references. Thanks.

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit extended-protected}} template. Does not appear there is consensus for inclusion as-is. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 15:19, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Correct opening paragraph's third sentence

[edit]

"A cryptocurrency exchange can be a market maker that typically takes the bid–ask spreads as a transaction commission for is service or, as a matching platform, simply charges fees."

Change "is" to "its".

Thanks in advance.

A cryptocurrency exchange, or a digital currency exchange (DCE), is a business that allows customers to trade cryptocurrencies or digital currencies for other assets, such as conventional fiat money or other digital currencies A cryptocurrency exchange is an online marketplace where users can buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrency. A cryptocurrency exchange works similar to a stock market brokerage house, as users can deposit fiat currency, and use those funds to purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other cryptocurrencies. Every crypto exchange has a user-friendly interface, so any user can easily trade and the exchange takes some charge for trading. Every exchange like Binance, Coinbase lists some popular digital currencies in their exchange, and a user can buy or sell these currencies. But before the trading user must complete their sing up and KYC process. [1] SHIBAN SARKAR (talk) 20:10, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Under the examples section there's information on the trading volume of crypto exchanges which can be updated with new analysis. It currently reads...

"In early 2018, Bloomberg News reported the largest cryptocurrency exchanges based on the volume and estimated revenues data collected by CoinMarketCap.[21] Similar statistics was reported on Statista in a survey by Encrybit to understand cryptocurrency exchange problems. According to the survey, the top three cryptocurrency exchanges are Binance, Huobi, and OKEX."

There are new stats published here from May 2022 - https://derev.co/blog/state-web3-cryptocurrency-exchanges

In this analysis, Binance, OKX, and Huobi are still the top performing in terms of trade volume. However, these stats were pulled and analysed in May 2022 making them more time relevant. The stats were pulled from the CoinGecko API.

Can either replace the existing stats or add at the end to show that things are consistent. HeyPJB (talk) 13:09, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
