A fact from Flurbereinigung appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 19 November 2007. The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that by providing government assistance to vineyard owners so they could replant and redesign their vineyards, the Flurbereinigung restructuring of the late 20th century had a dramatic impact on the German wine industry?

Currently this article appears to imply that Flurbereinigung applies specifically to vineyards. The German article, however, indicates that the term is much more general and can be applied to similar types of arraignments in other agricultural settings.Ekem (talk) 01:21, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh. Unfortunately my sources (wine books and website) only deal with the vineyard aspect of the term and its influence on the German wine industry. If you have access to German language or other resources that talk about in the broader context, then by all means feel free to include it. :) AgneCheese/Wine23:54, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I defined the term following the points as espoused in the German website,- as a beginning. Of course, later additions as Flurbereinigung affects other agricultural settings can be added to the article, but I do not enough about it to tackle this.Ekem (talk) 00:37, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
