1980?
[edit]I am not sure but I think some western countries held something similar in 1980? --Astrokey44 05:28, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Sure. Liberty Bell event, listed in See Also section. 176.195.101.32 (talk) 21:23, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
Over?
[edit]Article needs to state what ended up happening to the Friendship games: are they still held, if not did the collapse of USSR have anything to do with the ending of the games?
- I think it was a one-time event because it as an alternative to the 1984 Olympic games, which Easter Bloc countries did not attend. Almost all those nations participated in the 1988 Summer Games. The politics of 1984 did spawn the Goodwill Games in 1986, and those continued for a few years. Huangdi 01:31, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Where?
[edit]I may be wrong but there is nowhere main or obvious that has where the games were actually held. 122.107.134.74 (talk) 09:06, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
USA: Map error or list error ?
[edit]The map colored USA as participating country, but USA is not on the list of the participants. Which one is correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.197.141.151 (talk) 08:55, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
- More so, on russian page for the event the USA is listed as one of participated states. So i wonder if some American sportsmen did took part. 176.195.101.32 (talk) 21:17, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
Logo?
[edit]Surely, the rationale exists for a high-res photo of the logo of the Friendship Games, given that it was held by a defunct government entity. But, I cannot find any such high-res logo. --Agamemnus (talk) 06:03, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
