Trouble at shipyard

[edit]

Headline on AP story 8/24/07: "Poland's historic Gdansk shipyard struggles to survive 27 years after Solidarity's birth there."

What should be done with the shipyard? Suggestions?

Two different shipyards

[edit]

Remontowa Shiprepair Yard IS NOT the Gdansk Shipyard. See http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gda%C5%84ska_Stocznia_%22Remontowa%22 and http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stocznia_Gda%C5%84ska —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.11.37.218 (talk) 06:53, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was aware of multiple sites and changing ownership in earlier edits. Are they both significant enough to deserve an English article or could one article describe both? As a start, can a Polish reader identify the two yards in the English article? Finavon (talk) 08:54, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Stocznia Gdanska (Gdansk Shipyard) and Gdanska Stocznia Remontowa (Gdansk Shiprepair Yard "Remontowa") are two different shipyards, which are close to each other. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.184.128.158 (talk) 12:56, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have made a start at seperating the two companies, A stub has been created at Remontowa. Will need help writing the history of Remontowa as Im not sure if this yard had anything to do with the strikes in 1981. Philphos (talk) 18:11, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Is the redirect from Remontowa S.A. to this page correct, or should it rather be redirected to Remontowa? --KV (talk) 12:55, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I moved the redirect above to Remontowa as this article contents currently supports such a redirect. KV (talk) 01:22, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
