Family Tree Structure

[edit]

The structure of the family tree is messy. Some children of Stu and Helen appear below their grandchildren, while spouses often also appear below them as well. A linear family tree should be constructed to be more easily readable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.98.18.29 (talk) 00:26, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tyson Kidd should also be added now that he and Natalie are married.24.85.230.116 (talk) 19:38, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Delete?

[edit]

I sit here in amazement that this has been put up for Speedy Delete - and for Vandalism?? What? where? How?? Every single person & family relationship on his page is a matter of public knowledge to wrestling fans, all the links are correct and suitable and only notable family members are linked.

What on this page constitutes vandalism and why was it put up for Speedy Delete?? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by MPJ-DK (talkcontribs) 12:40, 30 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The only reason I would see this page set up for a speedy deletion is that all this information is on Stu Hart's page and this page instead really adding anything else.(MgTurtle 23:59, 8 August 2007 (UTC)).[reply]

Delete

[edit]

This page should not be deleted as it is one of the better families page go on McMahon family it is no where near the standard of this page. If this get deleted all the other wrestling families pages will need to be aswell i find no fault in this page —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amazingalistair (talkcontribs) 21:59, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

Bret's 2nd Marriage

Farrah

[edit]

I included a section on the 3rd and 4th generation. I basically moved over this information from Stu Hart (which is why the Billington children are included too) but put each child to his or her parents. However, I could not ascertain the parentage of Farrah Hart. She must be the daughter of either Wayne, Dean or Ross Hart but I could not find any information. So currently she is missing. Str1977 (talk) 20:06, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • There is info about Farrah in Bret Hart's autobiography Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling. She's the daughter of the late Dean Hart and his girlfriend Tammy, and she was born a few months before Dean died. I had added and sourced this info to the article, but someone reverted it. I have added it back. 99.252.37.35 (talk) 05:16, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Toby Hart

[edit]

In Bret Hart's book he mentions Toby hart, the daughter of his brother Smith and a girlfriend. Can someone please put this up as a source?(MgTurtle (talk) 23:47, 15 January 2009 (UTC)).[reply]

Neidhart's a grandfather?

[edit]

Does someone have a source for his daughter Kristen's son? (MgTurtle (talk) 22:11, 20 May 2009 (UTC)).[reply]

I'm sorry that I don't know how the whole thing here works. I just wanted to say that the people on the picture are NOT Stu and Helen Hart. I would be very pleased if someone could add a picture that really shows Stu and Helen. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.60.189.35 (talk) 17:12, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ross Hart

[edit]

Although primarily a promoter I'm pretty sure Ross Hart wrestled a bit too as I watched him and Owen in a match on ESPN Classic (UK) on Sunday - [1]. I know YouTube doesn't count as a reliable source so I haven't edited the article but he sholud have "retired professional wrestler" with a source beside his name on the list too surely. Roddy Piper's relevance

[edit]

"Roddy Piper is a cousin of the hennan family". So what? This is an article about the Hart wrestling family. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CF2D:6600:D6A:CF44:5D74:54B2 (talk) 04:51, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Huh?

[edit]

"Note that when Bruce divorced from her ex-wife Andrea Redding, Bruce won the custody of his five children (Bruce Hart Jr., Brit Hart, Rhett Hart, Tory Hart and Lara Hart) from his ex-wife, he then married Rachel Overholt in January 2007 and had their first child later that year naming their son Davis Gene Hart, making his wife Rachel the stepmother of his five step-children who are Bruce Hart Jr., Brit Hart, Rhett Hart, Tory Hart and Lara Hart, it also makes their son Davis the half brother of his four half brothers and one half sister."

So are they his children or his step-children? This whole section is very confusing and needs to be rewritten by someone who knows what it's trying to say.```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.226.203.55 (talk) 21:14, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Other third generation harts.

[edit]

Smith sons Matt and Mike are wrestlers currently. I can't find a reliable source that confirms 100% that Mike Herweg is Smith's son but Matt Herweg definitely is. He was mentioned in Diana Harts book as one of Smith's children.

There's also Bruce Jr and Torrin, two of Bruce's sons whom have wrestled some in the past. — Preceding unsigned comment added by *Treker (talkcontribs) 19:10, 28 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bruce Hart's middle names.

[edit]

According to his sister Diana's book his full name is Bruce Ambrose Edwardious Hart. I know that her book, Under The Mat isn't exactly considered to be a particularly reliable source but it seems strange for her to get something like that wrong. The only real source I can find that claim that his middle names are Dennis Luis is the book Historical Dictionary of Wrestling but that book doesn't list Bret's middle name under his full name.*Treker (talk) 04:46, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: Correction, the book does include Bret's middle name.*Treker (talk) 04:29, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually all their middle names.

[edit]

Some of the Hart children's middle names are completely absence and the spelling needs to be fixed on Alisons name. *Treker (talk) 05:08, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hart siblings birth dates can't be right.

[edit]

According to Bruce Hart's own book he was born in 1951, not 1950 and according to the book Pain and Passion Keith Hart was born in 1952 not 1951. If we assume that means that Wayne's birth would be pushed up a year or so to that means that his birth will happen only about three months before Dean's. None of the specific birthdays are sourced in any way. I think i might delete them if I can't find any source.*Treker (talk) 04:18, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Hart wrestling family

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Hart wrestling family's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Ethnicities in infobox

[edit]

Not every single ethnicity that the family has traces of should be included in the inbox, Greek and Irish are the main two groups of descent that have been reported. Different minor ancestry can be included in the individual members articles, like they are right now.★Trekker (talk) 14:36, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. To state that certain ethnicities are not as important as others is insulting and extremely disrespectful. The fact is there is documented evidence that the Hart Family is also of Scottish and English descent and it's a part of their origin. There is already a lot of documented history on family members in the tree that many would say are "not main ones," so it seems inconsistent to not document verifiable ethnicities that the editor of this page seems to just think aren't "main ones." The family itself has Scottish and English roots, which contribute to their genetic makeup, so it should be included. It's well-documented. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.2.124.200 (talk) 14:48, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
We list the major ones in the infobox, not everything, that's it. Get over it, don't try to turn this into some racism thing. The Scottish and other ancestry is far back enough that it's not really relevant for the infobox anymore. Mention it in the article if you feel like, not the infobox. Also, sign your comments.★Trekker (talk) 15:11, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Controversies

[edit]

I had added a "controversies" section to the article. "Controversies" are a common subheading on similar articles. Please add to talk if this section should be expanded upon or removed. I feel it is appropriate since this page explicitly discusses activities "outside of wrestling." Please be mindful that articles should reflect all aspects of a given subject not just positive or negative information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Qual479terrace (talkcontribs) 22:05, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I kinda feel like it's possibly a major BLP violation to include info about persons like Alexandra Hart whom do not have their own articles. And the info about Diana, Smith and Teddy are included in their own articles.★Trekker (talk) 23:06, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A fair concern but can you please clarify? What aspect is specifically a BLP violation? These are neutral and reliably sourced. In the case of Alexandra Hart, wikipedia allows material on people "who are relatively unknown" and in this case she has publicly commented on the controversy and publicly marketed her business venture using the "Hart Family" therefore inclusion in the "Hart Family" article seems relevant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Qual479terrace (talkcontribs) 17:38, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Connected family members

[edit]

Helen Hart, matriarch of the family and mother of Bret, Owen, Keith, Bruce, Diana etc is only considered a "connected member" of the family? The structure needs reviewing. 2A02:C7C:9AC8:AD00:B1C4:B7F9:C1B6:5059 (talk) 15:21, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
