Henry Rowett
[edit]The reason they don't know much about Henry Rowett the cricketer, is because Rowett is the seventeenth century spelling of the name, and in the 18th century it was sometimes Rowett but mostly Rowed.
Henry Rowett/Rowed was baptised at Caterham in 1743 and died in 1803. His father, also Henry (1727-1780), and later his son Henry (1771-1831), owned the second-largest rural estate at Caterham.Lathamibird (talk) 11:58, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
