W and N?
[edit]What is W and what is N? "Wide" and "narrow?" "White" and "noir?"
It means Narrow - Wide. >>"The "Interleaved" part of the name comes from the fact that a digit is encoded in the bars and the next digit is encoded in the spaces. The encoded digits are "Interleaved" together..."<< -- http://www.adams1.com/pub/russadam/i25code.html
The other option would be to use a non Interleaved system.
The article says that the first digit in a pair is encoded by the bars and the second digit is encoded by the interleaving spaces. From what I can see from the example photos it is in fact the opposite of this.
I want this explained or I will assume the article is mistaken and correct it myeslf. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.9.38.33 (talk) 07:17, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
The article is correct, and the photographs agree. The barcode starts with a narrow black bar, a narrow white bar, a narrow black bar and a narrow white space. The next black bar is the first bar of the first digit; it is followed by the first white bar of the second digit. David ORourke (talk) 13:18, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Values 1, 2, 4, 7 and 0
[edit]"with consecutive values of 1, 2, 4, 7, and 0, where the code 0 has a value of 11" This series of numbers is not clear, nor is the value of 11; I missed the point. Can someone be more explicit please? Teuxe (talk) 12:30, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- OK I found my answers and clarified parts of the article. Teuxe (talk) 14:38, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
