"In Memory of a Real Tree"
[edit]For partly the sake of it being Arbor Day today, may someone please upload an image thereof or, if possible, a .gif emphasising the flicker of usual hologrammes? DrWho42 15:57, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]The following points in the trivia section should be deleted:
- Sitting in the wedding tent, Maude Flanders can be seen who was presumed dead.
- The future Maude Flanders sitting in the tent sort-of looks like Forest Gump's mom near when she dies.
I think the first point should be deleted because the fact that Maude is dead has already been mentioned and further explained in the Synopsis section. I think the second point should be deleted because it is completely original research and entirely a matter of opinion. WHirl 19:12, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I added the fact that the sign uses US spelling not British spelling. I.e. "honor" should be "Honour".Wolfmankurd 17:14, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- I have reverted it. Not because its wrong, just because its Trivia, and Trivia does not belong in GA standard articles. Gran2 17:20, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- okie dokie, I didn't know that:D Wolfmankurd 20:48, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- That's fine, we all have to learn sometime don't we? Happy editing Gran2 20:55, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

I have reverted it again. See WP:TRIV and WP:OR. -- Reaper X 09:45, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Three tarot decks have included a 'Happy Squirrel' card in reference to this episode (Victoria Regina, International Icon and my own Touchstone Tarot). Any references to tarot in this episode just get removed though, so I guess whoever's doing that doesn't think it's relevant. It is of relevance to the tarot community though, as one of the few mainstream pop-culture references to Tarot. 19 Aug 2008, katblack —Preceding undated comment was added at 04:44, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Canon?
[edit]The episode is not canonical, is it? Because Maude Flanders is dead, and this is not really true. Anyway, this episode was aired before the day she died. Rock Global 08:46, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Wheres the meh?
[edit]This episode made "meh" popular. I was going to add something about it, but meh.--66.109.245.210 15:14, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Actually "Hungry, Hungry Homer" made meh popular, this was just the first use of it in the show. Gran2 15:30, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

The following Celebrities have been arrested
[edit]I didn't know how to add them into the article, but if someone does, here is the array of celebrities Kent Brockman says have been arrested, which scrolls across the screen: {The Baldwin Brothers Gang; Dr. Brad Pitt; John John John Kennedy; George Burns; Infamous Amos; Grandson of Sam; The artist formerly known as [The artist formerly known as Prince symbol]; Tim Allen Jr.; Senator and Mrs. Dracula; The artist formerly known as Buddy Hackett; Madonnabots, series K; Sideshow Ralph Wiggum; Martha Hitler; Johnny Neutrino} while Heather Locklear (?) remains at large JW (talk) 16:49, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- I believe it was "Heather Locklear Fortensky", a play on Larry Fortensky's marriage to Elizabeth Taylor.--T. Anthony (talk) 07:27, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Lisa's Wedding as a Fairy Tale
[edit]Re: "Somebody even did their doctorate thesis on this episode with the topic Lisa's Wedding as a Fairy Tale." Is that referring to the essay in the episode capsule at SNPP? If so, then I'm the guy who wrote it, and no, it actually wasn't my doctoral thesis -- it was just me being horribly pretentious online and blowing off some steam at being unemployed with an English degree. :)
If it's referring to something else, then cool, great minds think alike, please ignore this. CanadianLemming (talk) 18:33, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
That was quick. :) Hope I didn't cause offense with my tone, that wasn't my intention -- I was just surprised to find out how my essay was regarded 13 years later. 205.150.14.236 (talk) 12:40, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Lisa as a vegetarian
[edit]- Shouldn't some mention of how Lisa in the future being a vegetarian predicts "Lisa the Vegetarian"? JuJube (talk) 16:28, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Today is August 1, 2010.

- That's a blog post so it's probably not reliable. Also, it doesn't mention anything that is worth putting into the article (such as the apparent Twitter trending). Theleftorium (talk) 21:53, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
- An official blog post by a New York Times journalist is certainly reliable. If more sources such as these is published, it would be a good paragraph on the episode's legacy. That, 15 years on, on a date shown in one frame, people still care about 22 minutes of TV. That's pretty special. Gran2 21:57, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. That it comes from the New York Times gives it some reliability, even if it is a blog post. The source has some weight and its extensions carry that as well.Luminum (talk) 23:14, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Dr. and Mrs. Dre Hall
[edit]An explanation of this clearly belongs in the cultural references here, but I don't have a source to cite. Can anybody help with this? Phineasqphailboat (talk) 02:30, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
