Where were people sleeping?
[edit]were people sleeping in the stairwell? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.198.15.37 (talk) 01:15, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Right? I noticed that too. Do people not proofread what they write?
"Most deaths occurred in the stairwells, where the doors locked behind each person as the only open doors in the stairwell were on the roof and on the ground floor. Most of the victims died from smoke inhalation, many of them in their sleep." 73.173.114.38 (talk) 21:59, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
Wikify
[edit]I invited the tagger who suggested the article be wikified to provide his/her comments on what needs to be done since it seems to me that there are sufficient internal links Travellingcari (talk) 21:42, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Revising the "Cause" section
[edit]Aside from being flagged as Refimprove since 2012, the section actaully reads as if it was written in sections by different people at different points in time (Which it appears to have been.) and actually seems to be a summary of the fire as a whole. What is needs is a total rewrite and a renaming. Graham1973 (talk) 02:01, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

OK, there is clearly something missing.. a fire that advances "15 to 19 feet per second" is not simply a fire, but some kind of lesser explosion. Was this fire propelled by the release of a leaking gasline? How does a fire advance so fast people can't outrun it? There's something wrong with this document. Anyone with more knowledge about the exact nature of this fire, please fix it. |
