Solid Gold?
[edit]Didn't Marilyn McCoo host TV's Solid Gold program in the 1980s? This should be included. I'll work on it if I get time, but you maybe can get to it before I do! Iamvered 19:35, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

- Perhaps I'm confusing the pageant with another which was held in the 1960s for African-American women. I read that she came in first place.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 09:05, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
- It was Miss Bronze California and I have just added it to the article.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 09:29, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Marilyn McCoo was in Miss Bronze Californiain 1962 where she won Miss Grand Talent. Although Marilyn is a beautiful woman, and a good friend to me at that time, she did not come in first place...I did. My name is Barbara Tennell, and I took first place in Miss Bronze California 1962. I was also the one who was featured as Jet Beauty of the Week at that time (July, 29, 1962). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.60.78.60 (talk) 21:11, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
- Unfortunately you will need to cite a reliable source to back up this claim. Wikipedia does not support edits based on original research. Please see WP:RELY, WP:CITE, and WP:NOR. Many sources claim McCoo came in first place and I was unable to find a source stating that a Barbara Tennell came in first place. I sincerely hope you are able to find and cite a reliable source in accordance with Wikipedia policy. --hulmem (talk) 01:56, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
