The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved as requested with the previous title redirecting to the disambiguation page for now; please take that to WP:RFD if necessary. Dekimasuよ! 19:24, 8 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Harrington (writer)Michael Harrington (Canadian writer) – Incomplete disambiguation due to Wikipedia entry for American writer Michael Harrington, author of the influential book, The Other America. This matter was previously raised in the recent Talk:Michael Harrington#Requested move 24 November 2018.     Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 19:07, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Since this specific topic had already been submitted for resolution, as a secondary element, in the previous discussion which closed as "consensus against move", it would be inappropriate to move it unilaterally without giving this nomination an opportunity to run its course.    Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 22:32, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Although I did not specify it in the nomination, the proposal does indeed imply redirecting it {Michael Harrington (writer)} to Michael Harrington (disambiguation) per the usual rule regarding incomplete disambiguations. As for the American not being known primarily as a writer, he was, after all, the author of a well-known book as well as of numerous other writings, thus confirming that neither the Canadian nor the American is the sole writer named Michael Harrington.    Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 15:06, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
