Promotional edits

[edit]

An editor repeatedly adding problematic promotional contents at the box office section. For the claim, "film ran nearly 75 days in theatres", a 75 days poster from an unverified Facebook page is added as the source, apparently from the page named "Kammath and Kammath". Also the FB post is dated 19 March 2013, film released on 23 January 2013, which counts only "53 days". That makes all this a lie. Other claim is " film collected nearly ₹11 crore (US$1.6 million) from Kerala box office alone" added with this source. The source cites "'Kammath Kammath', a medium-budget film collected Rs.10.34 crore" in an analysis of all South Indian films at the box office, it contradicts the "Kerala box office alone" claim, which is the "fan editor's" own conclusion. There is also another minor tweak in a statement, "The film got satellite right of more than 4.5 crore (US$540,000)", the source cites the film "got a satellite right of 4.5 crores", not "more than". 117.251.40.135 (talk) 13:22, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the statement that "film is a commercial success" because it's budget is 7.5 - 8 crore and gross is 10.34 crore (all sourced in article). I doubt with this little difference how much profit did it made. Its better to avoid that statement. Also this source from CNN-News18 cites the film "managed to break even in it's fourth weekend" also add "The movie with a budget of eight crores got a satellite right of 4.5 crores and was destined to collect more than three and a half crores from the Box Office, if it had to turn a profit maker. Though it made a rollicking start at the collection windows in the first weekend, the interests on the movie gradually dipped down with a handful of movies coming up in the next weekends". 117.251.40.135 (talk) 13:48, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
